Democracy is revealing the kinds of people who would pay $1 to revive during a hard boss fight instead of manning up and getting better at the game.

Anarchy REIGNS! All hail the Helix!

What happens if you a drag out a fight so long that the enemy trainer runs out of PP to use in every move?

Surely that would be an auto-win right?

When you run out of usable attacks, you use Struggle, a self-damaging move.

Unfortunately, Gen 1 AI have unlimited PP. We are going to only leave here when Pidgeot runs out of HP.

Enemy AI can't run out of PP, and for is struggle in gen 1 is normal so it wouldn't happen due to all the ghost pokemon. And if you really want to know google wobbuffet vs wobbuffet and watch that battle

When you are out of PP, the pokemon use a shitty normal attack which hurt himself and its opponent.

The fight always ends.

I have a problem.

Because of the stream, I feel the urge to play pokemon again...

I intended to wait for a "pokemon Z"... Is there any news about one? Or should I resort to X or Y?

You think that's a problem? I've never played a Pokémon game and here I am, glued to the screen, new owner of Pokémon White on the DS.

These comparisons to other games in which a single person has full control do not work. Trying to conflate people who want democracy with "casuals" is not logically sound.

There is no getting better at this. The massive noise and extreme chat delay makes that impossible. It's fine if you like anarchy but realize what you're actually doing.

Think of Anarchy as totally unpredictable failure converging on success, and Democracy as slow success with the occasional massive failure

The worst part. They choose headbutt like twice. With psychic we would have won.
Seems the battle just keeps going. I wonder how long it will last.

The massive noise and extreme delay is what makes it special. Taking it away makes it the most boring LP ever.

Enough already with the anarchy. We really need democracy to beat the tower.

Nope nope nope. Anarchy is close to beating it already. This is what I was afraid of with him even adding democracy. Any time we get into a small bind people will want to easy mode out of it. It's lame. Have we forgotten LedgeGate so quickly?

I understand that. That's fine. I disagree that democracy turns it into a simple let's play but I get the gist of your argument.

I'm just addressing all the arguments saying that democracy is for casuals and anarchy is skill based gameplay.

this is taking longer than I anticipated....went to sleep expecting to have reached the top floor by the time i wake.

atleast we're nearing the healing pad.

seriously can't believe we overwrote Keeper's Psychic after spending the majority of yesterday attaining it. atleast it helped for a little.

happy to see BigDig around

We are on the top floor.

Edit: Or the last floor with ghosts. Same diff.

I still maintain that most people don't know what they're doing. Why are we mashing so many directions in an unwinnable fight?

That's disappointing...both because I didn't know that and that it's a thing.

Poison on poison violence for gen 7 plz!

One of the best parts of gen 6 and gen 1 was having immunity against additional effects cause by your own type. Status effects are way too much of a nuisance, and i'm glad we have a way to bypass them. It also makes sense logically.

How does an ice type pokemon become frozen solid?

Let's not forget, we also spent that time getting a Hitmonlee that we released as well. Just as Helix wished it to be.

It's not "skill based gameplay," but it is acknowledging and accepting the handicap and trying to overcome it, rather than trying to shortcut it. That's where the microtransaction/pay2win comparison comes from.
