The best there ever was.

How many people actually realize that the more exp Pidgeot vacuums up at the expense of the rest of the team, the more we are screwing ourselves over?

Well, it'll be fine, there will always be somewhere we can grind when we need to. Things have worked out so far, slow as they may have been, no reason to doubt that we'll figure things out as we go along.

This made me think... there have to be a lot of kids only knowing these "endless" games nowadays. They might enjoying a game like pokemon for the first time thanks to the stream.

I really don't want this journey to end yet... I really hope the guy sets up TPP for Gold. Then he can hook up the emulators together and transfer over all of our original team once we hit Ecruteak...

I doubt it will reach the same levels of popularity.

Incredible. The Charmeleon is phenomenal, full of personality. The stream itself bores the hell out of me, but the meta-narrative and art content surrounding it is incredible, and as a social experiment it's fascinating. I've been following it since Mt Moon, for about a week.

Watching this stream has gotten me to start Pokemon Y again and it is so good.

ok now for my drunk thoughts. I would seriously pay good money for a pokemon game that spanned and somehow linked all the regions together. Lower the exp rate so it could actually work. Go through all the gyms in each region to get to the next. It would be awesome. I wouldnt even care if it was with the newer graphics or not. It would just be an awesome journey. Dunno how much sense I just made.

On topic, I miss the days of playing these games on the Gameboy. I don't think I have the patience to play them again in their original form, but I am enjoying them being playing in this way.

There's definitely some fan games that try this, I don't know of any though. Most that I know of are trying to make their own regions and stories. I'd say a combination of lowering exp gained and raising the level cap (because there's no way 100 would be even close to high enough for 6 regions). Only problem is that you'd be much less inclined to change your team region after region, by the last region there's almost no way you'd switch. Somehow you'd need to balance that, as well, and make it more appealing to take on new, different Pokemon as you go on.

You'd have to do away with levels.
