You might not like it, but a system like the one inf TES4:Oblivion would work out quite well for a single game all generation pokemon title (in other words: a pokemon game with all regions).

It works because you are not fighting common bandits with crystal weapons, but different pokemon each time.

Do you mean that they just level with you? I considered that, but to my knowledge no Pokemon game does that so it would seem out of place. But then again, I'm not making it, so I think any method would be fine.

I think I went the long and difficult way of getting that tag on my avatar.
