Its our best shot at a legendary, one that is incredibly powerful and covers our bases quite well.

We will NEVER get there with the Masterball. We haven't even been able to being our trip to get Snorlax.
It would help them considerably, and frankly, it's the easiest bird to get to (relatively speaking; Articuno's stuck behind a Strength puzzle, and Moltres is in Victory Road and the Master Ball won't last that long).
But half the issue is getting to the Power Plant and keeping the Master Ball intact.
That's what I'm saying, Snorlax isn't far, we should settle for him, at least we have a chance.

I remember trying to catch Blue's Blastoise with it. I was young and didn't even bother reloading a save. Funny thing was that wasn't even my first playthrough. I thought it was worth the risk.
The Party is at decent levels but the E4 has very high leveled Pokemon, I think only Pidgeot will keep up, and he sucks.

This is it. Here we go.
Dear god Zapdos is a bad plan. First we have to do either the Ledge or Rock Tunnel, then a whole dungeon without tossing or using the master ball.
Snorlax is a good plan because it's practically the only way we can successfully use the Master Ball, and we get a pretty good Pokemon out of it.
Also, all the people saying we need to develop the rest of the team, people have beaten the entire game using nothing but a Weedle. Not even evolving it to a Beedrill, just a Weedle. I think we'd manage with a Pidgeot eventually.

We hatched the odd egg and got Pichu, called it AbbaAnneY
Grinded in Ice Cave for a while only to learn that we hadn't defeated the Rocket Executives when we left the cave. Currently the stream is offline

Haven't looked it up but I wouldn't be surprised if Pidgeot had way better stats than a Weedle with a load of X Attack and Defend.
I pretty much soloed Red with a Blastoise as a kid, people are really overestimating the difficulty level of a game beaten by millions of 6 year olds. Bird Jesus has wiped out pretty much everything since Surge without any difficulties. Apart from Agatha there's nothing in the league to bother him, and even she might be taken down by Mirror Move, I can't remember what moves her Gengar has.
Depends. Do I need it to advance the game? Do I have fly and a nice place to ev train? Have I unlocked breeding yet?
At above: lorelei and her ice moves will shit on bird jesus, dux and xcabbage. Agatha will fuck us up too
