In general the first option is always the best. For the Twitch thing the second option is easier and better.
 
Wait, the fighting dojo used to be a Gym but those guys owned them so bad they became the Gym instead?

I pretty much soloed Red with a Blastoise as a kid, people are really overestimating the difficulty level of a game beaten by millions of 6 year olds. Apart from Agatha there's nothing in the league to bother him, and even she might be taken down by Mirror Move, I can't remember what moves her Gengar has.

The main difference is that we can't use healing items. We're going to need a team of Pokemon who can soak up attacks. Pidgeot can't OHKO the E4 Pokemon and they have slightly better AI so we'll get hit and worn down trying to fight 26 Pokemon in a row.

I know, I aways soloed with the starter as a kid. But by the time I got to the Elite, I had a level 80-99 Charizard. But let's be real, we had to use Max Potion or Full Restores at some point, even Ethers as our PP ran out.

It's impossible to rely on items in this challenge and because of this, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get past Lorelei. Because o the AI of this game, any of her pokemons can take Bird Jesus down with 1 or 2 ice attacks. We will have to grind other pokemon, like it or not =/

When I was 6 and I had a Charizard with Cut / Ember / Flamethrower / Fire Spin I was able to beat the game.

Really, you can just flamethrower everything into submission with a high enough level.

Can't remember my OG team, bar my Blastoise which ran Water Gun/Surf/Hydro Pump/Skull Bash and carried my team.

I remember when I was about 10 there was a kid with a cheat cartridge that would give you infinite rare candies in exchange for good pokemon cards. I didn't visit too often, but he was about 15 and always had other kids visiting him trying to do deals (oh the memories)

Here's a tool to switch HDR on and off especially when you're gaming from a couch or recliner and don't have a wireless remote with shortcut abilities
