Also let's get this clear, evasion moves are bad and a waste of a slot. Barely anyone would use them if they WERE legal. The metagame is way too fast for you to use it more than twice before you get dusted.
Evasion moves are allowed in ubers. They are banned for power reasons.

Also, calling Minimize (+2 evasion) bad is crazy. That sort of boost wins games with Moody.

It's a Seismic Toss/Night Shade style damaging move with fluctuating damage above and below those two. That's always nice to have, even if it's not as good as Psychic.

Just looked it up.

"Psywave inflicts a random amount of damage, varying between 0.5× and 1.5× the user's level. The damage can be calculated using the following formula, where X is a randomly generated number between 0 and 10:

(X + 5) × (User's level / 10)

The damage is always rounded down; however, Psywave will always deal at least 1 HP of damage. Though it is a Psychic move, Psywave deals typeless damage, taking neither weakness nor resistance into account, and not being affected by STAB"

Guess it's better than pound ,but far from great. Not even STAB for Drowzee.

Current goal (heal first and then this):

Fuck snorlax, go for the Zapdos. If they toss the masterball in the process, oh well. Snorlax will need exp that's more effective going to gastly or Air.

They aren't going to Cinabar by the Seafoams, right? It's all water, which means pokemon encounters all the way.

But was it worth loosing Abby and Jay Leno? :-(

Id say yes.

I like to see the PC as a chaos point in the map. Its the only place when you can really lose something in Pokemon. When Red gets close to it things become interesting all of sudden. The tension is way to high :D

Zapdos is fucking awesome, but we're going to toss the Master Ball trying to Surf to the Power Plant.

Most common plan seems to be to go Vermillion - Diglett Cave - Viridian - Pallet then surf to Cinnabar. Makes the most sense, the strength puzzles in Seafoam will be killer.

LOL alright, minimize plus Moody is good. But that tells you how little you should depend on evasion when the only relevant option is +4 evasion per turn. And even then you're screwed if any pokemon has an always hitting move ala Aerial Ace unless you've been setting up with a second boosting move, in which case you only have 2 slots for atacking moves.

Any idea who they are trying to deposit?
Trolls -- notice the chat spam of trying to release everyone/release pidgeot/release lapras/get digrat/deposit for zapdos...even though digrat is obviously not needed, and zapdos is obviously impossible because the master ball will get wasted on random encounters first.

Any time people get near the PC, there's basically spam to release the only good pokemon or time-consuming-to-train pokemon the team has.

I've been wanting to know this for a while: if a Pokemon has been taught an HM (at least in the earlier generations of 1 and 2), isn't it impossible to release it, at least if it's the only one to know a certain HM? Because under that rule, Lapras cannot be released even if they tried.

I voted that we use the Master Ball on Articuno, though I admit it'd be almost impossible to get to him with anarchy.

Zapdos would be fine too, I just hope it doesn't get tossed.

I see that Air learned Surf and Strength, but his first move is now Sing! Haha that sucks.

Nope in Gen 1 you can still release them.
