I see four viable options to reach the 7th Gym

You can't walk back through Mount Moon because there's a ledge blocking it, Fly is troll bait, and the Seafoam Islands are a death trap filled with Strength puzzles and Surfing parts.

Luckily, you can go through Diglett's Cave in Vermillion back to Pallet Town. This is the only option we should be considering.

Anarchists do not dislike democracy because they think it's ineffective at beating the game. We dislike it because it eliminates the stream's entertainment value. Urgent progress isn't key to our entertainment here; we aren't after a lets-play-by-committee. A dozen failed safari zone runs under anarchy would've been more entertaining than an entire game's worth of progress under democracy.

Well now that anarchy is back, the stream is much more eventful and exciting. And look at all the progress being made.

I really hate that the democracy/anarchy mechanic has turned into, essentially, a "casual vs hardcore" identity politics argument that has washed over the entire stream. It adds a lot to the "social experiment" aspect, but it is really ugly to see play out.

Sometimes I want democracy and sometimes I want anarchy, just like sometimes in a game I want to use a walkthrough and sometimes I want to figure it out myself. It's not an either/or thing, and yet with bots, a couple of people can make sure it is. And I suspect they do this not because it's always more entertaining or useful to use anarchy mode, but because of *who they are*: "I'm a hardcore gamer, so I do everything the hard way! I'm not a casual, they always do everything the easy way!"

No one doubts we could beat the game with democracy. Of course we could. Because it's a really easy game.

Pokemon is fun, but the only way to have any sense of achievement playing it is to either be 7 or to add difficulty in some other way, like playing competitively, or doing a Nuzlocke challenge or something. Or playing it at the same time as hundreds of other people.

Democracy is a very very easy game being beaten very very slowly.
The stream, for me, isn't all about the difficulty of getting things done, or a sense of achievement. That's part of it, but the main appeal for me is collaborative effort. So I have no problem with democracy or anarchy if that's what everyone wants, but I don't like when people want to disturb collaborative effort just to make the game more arbitrarily difficult. (Context: people running bots to spam start9 during every democracy run).

So I see we beat Sabrina! What the heck are we doing now?

@above The easiest route walking to Pallet would be Diglett Cave. Trying to backtrack through Mt. Moon would be an awful idea.

Definitely the second coming of the false prophet, he's dividing us.
Awh that's cute especially oddish in the corner. Zapdos is a fools errand it's a waste of time, when a snorlax is far more useful. Plus we have to go the long way for zapdos due to lack of flight capabilities.

We can only daycare Venemoth, Pidgeot, and Drowzee. Not very good odds. Really don't get the point of trying for Zapdos, especially if we do this with democracy.

Seriously, is there any plan right now? To me it looks like no one knows what to do. I think we're stuck here

We have to go to cinnabar island and there's many way to go there. I think anarchy will decide where we should go by random.

But actually people are fighting to take a way.

I wish the streamer would disable save and options on the start menu. I understand his/her reluctance to mess with the game mechanics, but there really is no need to save and locking in fast text and no battle animations would move things on that much faster.
