If democracy will rear it's ugly head for something as simple as this...

I don't think the pure-hearted anarchists will even be afforded the opportunity to attempt this:

Seafoam Islands plan, excluding Articuno encounter

Wait what happened? I'm on 3G and I can't keep sacrificing my data for this.

Did democracy get in only for the chat to vote down to jump off the ledge? If so I'm so proud.

Even better, democracy couldn't even navigate the simple menu to deposit a Pokemon in the daycare, and then anarchy kicked in and jumped off the ledge.

The person who made that is taking this way too seriously.

Democracy got into the daycare and couldn't manage to navigate the menus to drop anyone off. Then anarchy came back and ran out the door and off the ledge.

I already heard that we would fail and not come further for 30 times in different places and yet we still did.

I have fate that we will complete this entire run.

Democracy did not account for input delay, so every time we talked to the day care man, we kept pressing a and then tried to drop off Lapras, who he wouldn't take because it had HMs. People got sick of this and went back to anarchy. After talking to him once, people started inputting down to move the daycare option down to Venomoth (or anything without an HM), but someone clicked b and all those downs brought us out of the daycare and off the ledge.

We should take the quickest path to Cinnabar island, which is Diglett Tunnel.

We'll Surf down from Pallet town and face the level 30-40 trainers and the low 40s gym.

From there we'll go straight to the 8th gym which hosts opponents in the mid-high 40s.

This should all be doable without any sidequest leveling. Once we reach VR and E4, it will be a different story. And we should figure that out once we get there.

I'm not a fan of the stream anymore. I preferred how it started off, nice and simple. Now there's the democracy/anarchy that just constantly spams the chat, the time played is barely even visible and I preferred when the commands came in as text as is from the chat. Sure it took forever to do anything, and it was chaotic, but that's what made it fun to watch.

I appreciate the fact that some areas are damn near impossible to beat without some sort of intervention like the democracy thing but it kind of has that feeling after you activate cheats in a game.. You want to beat it legit but at the end of the day, you know you can just enter that code and do it easily.

It's still always under stream control. Originally, the streamer was going to take over for certain parts. There's something to be said about being open to adaptation rather than stick blindly to what the stream started as.

The simple fact is that what drew so many people to the stream in the first place is the hilarity, drama, and sheer stupidity that resulted from the chaos, and that progress was somehow still being made in spite of that. Having an easy mode for whenever things get a little tough is destroying that, and you can see that in how much interest has waned since it's introduction. It's not just a cheat for one area that could possibly end the whole run if they ran out of money, now it's being spammed on tasks that could easily be done in anarchy because people get impatient. There's now no longer the challenge of figuring out how to approach a difficult situation because the eventual solution to every one will be democracy.

Progress was also being made when there was 3,000 people watching the stream, not 60,000. The conditions of the stream changed even if the streamer didn't do anything.

The stream itself is a Pokemon, evolving as it levels up.

Why are we trying to get a pokemon in the daycare anyway? Is it some hope that we'll be able to get to Snorlax (or Zapdos, but you'd have to be insane to even consider that possible) and actually manage to use the Ball, which is like our 10th or so item before we run away?

Anarchy vs Democracy debate is getting so old. I don't mind having it switch to democracy when needed. I think that it should mostly be anarchy for the lols but some people are really getting bent out of shape over this. You are forgetting our main objective. WE MUST REVIVE THE OLD GOD HELIX!!!!!

this has been covered before, the reason it dropped off in viewers was because the novelty wore off after those news articles brought attention to it, not because of anything involving the stream itself

That really doesn't make much (if any) difference:
"Will waiting for the viewer count to dip help?
Not until the viewer count gets below about 6,000, which is where in slow mode in the chat the number of commands per second still overloaded the frame limit. The average inputted values are pretty much the same with such large sample sizes regardless, so 6,000 and 60,000 are basically indistinguishable in effect. The only difference is how much information can be conveyed to each other through the Twitch chatbox."

That may well be part of it, but it's not the whole story. Otherwise threads like these wouldn't be all over the front page of the TPP subreddit.

The plan was to put a pokemon in the daycare to open up a spot in the team for either Zapdos/Snorlax without having to use the PC.

The fun came from people being united in a common goal. People left because of the ridiculous infighting and whining.

no shit, the TPP subreddit is obviously still active
that's not where that massive influx of viewers around the Giovanni fight came from though

Why in the name of god are we in ledge country again.
Somone explain to me the deal with Flareon being portrayed as some evil force, I get the Helix stuff and everything else but not Flareon.

Idea was to get Vaporeon for surf or Jolteon, as opposed to Lapras. Eventually we succumbed to the forces of Eevee's hardcore fan following but through sabotage we got a fire stone instead of a thunder stone or water stone, so we would have to drop flareon. When we deposited flaeron, Abby and Jay Leno got released in the chaos, with Flaeron still on our team for another few hours or so. We eventually went back and deposited it along with Drowzee, who would henceforth be known as keeper because of it.
