You forgot the picture they took in their Doritos Brand suits:

He wanted a ... Zone of the Enders game inspired by ... Lord of the Rings?

I ... what?

It's more of the fact that ZoE is too 'anime', and from his perspective, lacks broad appeal.

He wants to create something closer to LotR, which has great universal appeal and can be appreciated by all cultures.

If MGSV is any indication everything seems to be leading up to a remake of MG1 and 2. Wouldn't be surprised if phantom pain's end credits relate to snakes first mission in MG1

EDIT: Nice to see some clarification on Portable Ops. Forgot that he only over saw that game a bit. Plus story wise literally nothing from it has played a big deal in any of the other games. It really is more of a side story more than anything. But I wonder if that's why it didn't get an HD treatment. I still say it was more because the games portable roots would show drastically compared to Peace Walker.

This. The original creators could totally save Silent Hill.

I'm a little dismayed to see this championed all the time. The problem is that most of the staff are long gone, some of them in other industries, most of them either independent or at competitors now. We can't force them back to Silent Hill and Konami. I would rather more fans suggest alternative studios or creative minds... Because reforming the team is the least likely scenario.

He understands English pretty well, he just can't speak it that good.

Poor guy. I can remember him struggling so much at the re-reveal of MGR:R. I hope he can pick it up some day.

A man can dream :(

However, the one thing I've been wishing with the Silent Hill franchise, is that Konami give it to a studio that is at least established in the horror genre.

I'd like to ask him why they flew Geoff Keighly over to London for this when there are plenty of perfectly competent UK journalists who could have done the same job.

Tired of the games industry thinking this is the only guy capable of interviewing someone on camera.

They should just let the series rest.
You can make a psychological horror game without Silent Hill on the box, you know.

So in the end no PC question, but many bullshit questions like "what is your favorite yadda yadda yadda".

Goddamnit.

no pc version questions answered.

yeah, whatever.

at least whoever was watching the chat should have seen people literally screaming about it.

Geoff is gonna get some backlash for now asking about a PC version methinks. It was an okay interview though.

Ah well, it's nice to dream. Maybe a new Team Silent with fresh members could be set up to carry on the legacy.

it takes a pro like keighley to resist asking the one question everyone turned up to get an answer to.

Nah, Geoff is glorious!

The return of young Solid Snake would be amazing.

There were rumours back at E3 2013 that Kojima was looking into remaking MGS1 using the Fox Engine.
