Note: I haven't watched wrestling for weeks, so these predictions or the logic based on them may be terrible.

My Predictions

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship
Randy Orton(C) vs HHH vs John Cena
Winner: John Cena

I want to say Triple H pins Orton with Cena distracted or out of the ring, setting up big heat for a Cena/HHH rivalry...but the WWE lately seems to be thinking about as far ahead as penny stock investors, so I'm going to agree with this one.

World Heavyweight Championship
Edge(C) vs The Undertaker
Winner: The Undertaker

Again, agreed. The year the Undertaker decides to retire, maybe they'll break the streak to give a heel massive heat...but until then, they'd never dare.

The Biggest vs The Best
Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs The Big Show
Winner: Floyd "Money" Mayweather

I'm going to say Big Show. If Mayweather just had to throw a few "knockout" punches and not get grappled, they wouldn't be having issues staging this match.

Career Threatening Match
Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels
Winner: Shawn Michaels

Easy to overthink this one and say "yeah, the HoF induction is just a trick!" but no, it's all HBK, classic career-ending dragged-out epic.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
CM Punk vs Mr. Kennedy vs Shelton Benjamin vs John Morrison vs Chris Jericho vs Carlito vs MVP
Winner: Ken Kennedy

I'd say Ken, but I think his push is long over, even though it shouldn't be. CM Punk is my vote.

Battle of the Brands: Smackdown vs Raw
Batista vs Umaga
Winner: Batista

Not much to say here. Absolutely nothing gained from letting Umaga win. When in doubt at Wrestlemania, vote for the face.

24 Man Battle Royal with the Winner to face Chavo Guerrero
Participants:http://wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=208558926
Winner: Tommy Dreamer

ECW Championship Match
Chavo Guerrero(C) vs Winner of the Battle Royal
Winner: Tommy Dreamer

Obviously The Miz wins it all here. HOOOOOO RAAAAHHHHHH
okay not really. :lol
Mark Henry maybe?

Belfast Brawl
JBL vs Finlay
Winner: JBL

My vote is on Finlay, after tremendous amounts of midget antics.

BunnyMania
Beth Phoenix & Melina vs Maria and Ashley
Winners: Maria and Ashley

More like the winners are Snoop Dogg (but only if he does the dance) and the audience (who really needed that five-minute nap).

What 'era' are you talking about, though? I remember as a kid the days of Hogan and Warrior and Macho Man and Piper and hour long Mean Gene talk shows and Piper's Pit and Macho Man's 'OHhhhhhYeaaaahh' and all sorts of stuff that has carried over. This is long before the Rock.

Back in the 80s and up until about... maybe when RAW went to 2 hours, I guess? You might have a Piper's Pit or Gene interview, but then all the other "let's hear from so and so" bits would either be done through guest commentary or in one of those prerecorded comment things where a guy is in one corner of the screen while the match continues. You didn't have a match end with some shitty run-in/no-decision and then the guy cuts some 10 minute rant. Superstars never opened with some 20+ minute setup for the entire night. This week's show would lead into next week's show, and the announcers could explain the storyline during one guy's entrance rather than how they do it now.

It's like whenever they do a tag match nowadays, the entrances usually take longer than the actual match, because we gotta sit through all the pyro and posing or whatever, and then the match is some meaningless no-contest. It just seems like wasted time when you have a roster that's tired and little to no replacements for the future when guys like HBK or HHH decide to go home for good.

I'm not exactly sure what your issue with the Rock is other than him not being your favorite wrestler which is fine but none of the current issues with wrestling are do to the Rock. Cutting long promos has always been a part of wrestling and Flair had some epic ones that were quite long. Anybody who is a great talker cuts longish promos and the ones who generally don't aren't great talkers. The play along with the crowd that extended them was simply part of his gimmick.

I am not going to be on here for the PPV, so I will throw up my predictions now:

- Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
Turn Cena heel for some reason, then start a HHH/Cena fight all the way to Summerslam

- World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs. The Undertaker
It's gonna be a DQ. Taker does not need the title but he cant lose, Edge cant win or 15-0 gone. Rematch at Backlash

- Money in the Bank ladder match: Mr. Kennedy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho vs. Carlito vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison
Should be a great match, would have been better with Hardy though

- No Disqualification match: Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. The Big Show
Mayweather misses spots all over the place, botched finish, crap, disaster

- Umaga vs. Batista
I really don't care

- Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
Clean finish, has to be a clean finish, no antics after, hug each other, crowd clap, Flair leaves

- Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjack match: Maria and Ashley vs. Beth Phoenix and Melina
Mickie, mickie, mickie...

- Belfast Brawl: Finlay vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
With loads of small little guy

- 24-man Interpromotional Battle Roya: Kofi Kingston
He needs a big push

- ECW Championship: Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Kofi Kingston
Not that big of a push

- Mr. Kennedy will use his money in the bank and become some champ.
....Kennedy

Finally got it ordered. Dish Network kept saying I couldn't Cost me $65 for the HD broadcast. I figure it's only $10 more and it is Wrestlemania. Will be the first time I've seen WWE in HD. Hope I'm not disappointed.

Never lead off a prediction post with something that can't possibly happen. The WWE isn't that smart. Evidently we want to <cough> cheer John Cena in his valiant fight to topple a "freshly" heel-turned Triple H/Son-In-Law for his spinning WWE title belt. (Please note... there is nothing fresh about Trips playing a heel.)

We have been building up one year for this week, where we get to see what would happened at WWE Wrestlemania XXIV if WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008 was Fantasy Booker.

This PPV Simulation is done using WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008 on the Xbox 360 and is produced using Windows Movie Maker and Paint Shop Pro.

It is a production of GTF Media Ventures.

Be Sure to watch every day of the week for a newly uploaded match as the hype builds towards the big show on March 30th, 2008.

how's the weather? A thunderstorm would be disastrous for the show. :lol
Meltzer is saying that it has been raining on and off the whole day in Orlando, so there's no guarantee that it won't rain during the show.

It would be very cool to see a wrestling show in the rain on TV though just for the rarity of it. Of course it would suck for the 65,000+ people in the Citrus Bowl that aren't under the tarp. :lol

They need to turn Cena heel for the male fans, keeping him a face for the females (ala Bret Hart in Canada/USA). That way it's somewhat fresh, yet Cena still keeps all of the merch sales (which is why he's been a face for so long).

The feed for the battle royal was really choppy.

I'm cutting off my internet access for the rest of the night until I can see the whole show tomorrow, spoiler free.

My theory is that Cena wasn't really hurt while he was out. It was all faked in hopes of getting the heat off him like it did whenever Triple Haach (to quote Regal) busted his knee. The problem is, 2 months is not enough. Especially when you were promised 6 months of a Cena-less show. Now we're going to be stuck with another Cena win tonight with H probably doing another job at Wrestlemania.
The only good match I expect is the MoiB. *switches back to CBS while WM records*

Cena won't win the title tonight. He has a movie to be apart in, supposedly.

Wrestling Observer says HHH wins tonight. I honestly hope Randy Orton wins this...

You're best off hoping for HHH as it seems whatever the fans hope for, they don't get. It'd be nice to see Orton get a clean win for once but that'll never happen.

You missed the post where I said it wasn't so much him personally as what his character represented, I take it. As far as non-great talkers not doing long promos... I've been a good share of long HHH promos, long Vince promos, etc etc.

It doesn't take much to get someone over one way or the other on the mic, as wrestling fans have popper for the same kind of promos for years. If I could have a guy do that in 2 minutes instead of 10, that's better for the show overall imo.
