We can agree on that. The DBZ comparisons got nauseating.
t's hard to explain, but something about him in Thor 2 gave away the fact that he was very aware of his own popularity, and that was informing the performance in a way.
Nuke this thread. It's just fanboy wars now

Superman and Batman vs. EVERYONEMarvel vs. DC
The eternal debate.
For a minute, I thought the title meant the next movie would be an epic fight between Captain American & Batman/Superman. I feel a little disappointed now. lol
When people say Dragonball, what do they even mean exactly?
Marvel vs. DC
The eternal debate.
Man, they don't know. It's some catchphrase shit. It's essentially an admission that their frame of reference is limited enough that the best shorthand they can come up with is a shitpoor cartoon they gorged on when they were kids.
Should have a Marvel vs. DC |OT| where us fanboy could endlessly debate without shitting on other thread :lol
DC vs Marvel |OT| vs Dragonball
It's just superfights that go on for an extended period of time.

I kind of like the idea but fear it would get cast off into the Community Thread Zone. Nothing ever returns from there. We trying to create a diversion or cause a fuckin' singularity here?![]()

Even if there are similarities, Man of Steel fights were based on Birdy the Mighty and not DBZ.
Even if there are similarities, Man of Steel fights were based on Birdy the Mighty and not DBZ.:/ I never understood the comparison either but it has more to do with MoS, in no way, compares to DBZ's fight choreography. Like at all.
So Faora zips around fast..... So what, that doesn't grant it a DBZ comparison.

Matrix is the only film to come close.
There aren't any similarities to DBZ.
I feel like those exact same fight sequences are in MoS.

It feels good to like Marvel and DC equally. It's all just superheroes in silly costumes.
Nice clip.Snyder didn't model the Zod fight after Dragon Ball. It was after some other anime and the inspiration was pretty clear.
Oh wait I found the GAF thread. It was Birdy the Mighty

Nobody has history any more.

Should've included Natalie Portman while you were at it. Or one of the extras that went uncredited.
Who was the last good major love interest.Amy Adams wasn't much better as Lois Lane.
I used to.
Then New 52 happened.
Great, you took the characters I cared about and either rebooted them or erased them, so now I'm no longer invested in anything they're doing. Awesome. Nobody has history any more.
The DBZ comparisons are only difficult to understand if you want to make it that way.

I don't think they're difficult to understand.
I just think they're facile bullshit.![]()

And in turn, I think posts like this are bullshit:

I've shamefully ignored Adventures of Superman because it's sold first digitally and I don't really like buying digital versions of anything. Basically it's Supes stories told in the Pre-Flashpoint fashion but with less focus on continuity. Red trunks are included. Some arcs, including the upcoming one, roll Superman all the way back to the 1930s.
It's coming out slowly in paperback collections though.
Not that I'm following Marvel anymore either. Finally got event fatigued when Siege destroyed my three favorite things going (Mighty Avengers, Thor, and Dark Avengers) in one plot-resetting disaster of a comic.
