How are people capturing the high resolution PS4 shots? Capture cards? I've been sharing (tweeting) a few of my snaps directly from the console and they are pretty small and full of artefacts.
 
I don't know what it is... but something is wrong with the MG:GZ graphics. Maybe the polycount..or the textures..

It's both, yes the game is fucking amazing but i want it to look much better. I know TPP will be something special so i hope everything gets sorted out by then.
 
Although Ground Zero's looks great in some areas I hope Phantom Pain is even better looking. As Ground Zero's is basically a premium demo, it will be like all demo's and that they usually differ from the final product.

Well at least I hope so.
 
Didn't Kojima make a big deal of the graphics engine this E3? All the work they put in textures and so on. Odd that it turned out bad (it looks fine in the screenshots to me).

The plain look that MGS games tend to have which was beneficial to them in the past, as it hides the blurry textures, is now looking outdated in HD era. The game needs more textures on objects to make the game looks less flat.

The lighting,subtle dof and super smooth framerate is the highlight for me. However the textures in everything could use some work. Also the polycount on the characters need improvement too.

Edit: Also the hair, while i'm not expecting any tress-fx implementation i would have liked to see a better rendered hair.
 
Any chance that improves quite a bit by release of TPP?

I hope they do. Kojima has more than a year to release TPP so the engine should be way more optimized by then.
So I guess I'm the only one who thinks MGS V looks better than Infamous.

Technically it may not be as good, but I much prefer the art style of MGS V.
Like i said the engine is good, they got all the graphical effects down. Only the polycount/textures need work. Other than that it looks seriously impressive.

I've only used a capture card since day one as I want those uncompressed PNG files.=p

I recall the words "Photo Realism" being used quite frequently when Kojima would talk about the engine and I have to day that they aren't quite there yet.

I've seen 60fps footage of the game though and I think it looks great in motion.

That's too bad, you figure they would want their in game shots to look as good as they possibly can.

Nintendo should also allow 1080p snaps as well.

Anyway, the game shots are looking awesome! I can't stop looking at all of them, I've now been through each and every picture since page 1.

My faves so far:
Killzone SF (Of course) [PS4], Donkey Kong Country TF [Wii U], Pikmin 3 [Wii U], inFAMOUS Second Son [PS4], NBA 2k14 [PS4], Super Mario 3D World [Wii U], Zelda WW HD [Wii U], Knack [PS4].

I've love to see more LEGO: The Movie (PS4) if possible. I'm more impressed with that then I thought I would be.

Look at the URL of your Twitter pics, and add :orig to the end of it, and that will give you the full resolution pics. It will still be compressed, but it will be better than the smaller size.

so maybe im making connections where there are none, but theres a character in DR3's final downloadable content that looks suspiciously similar to a character from a forthcoming open world game for the ps4...

am i crazy or what, guys?
 
What type of AA did SP use for Infamous? The IQ is quite impressive, especially coming after the jagfests that 1 and 2 were.
 
0_0 those ground textures...could it be a texture loading glitch?

Texture loading in Ground Zeroes can be bad. I've seen texture pop-in on the damned title screen. (PS4)

IKR? This is why I'm so shocked when I saw the screenshots for SS. It miles ahead in comparison to iF1 and iF2. The jaggies are gone, the textures are soo much better, the environment are better designed. I guess it really was the PS3 that held Sucker Punch back from showing off their talents.
