Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Huh...never noticed that bowser was sent flying by mario's dash attack. Tho the damage % is missing, i wonder was it buffed.

I just realized the damage % and character portraits will probably be portrayed on the bottom screen, since the 3DS screen is so small.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen NOA do an open response.

Dude is one of the Smosh guys ... they expect the answer to be retweeted and lots of their target audience will see

Worth the weight? Steam confirmed?

Though it surprises me that NoA is bothering to answer a question like this. Maybe they've decided to get in touch with fans more. Nah. It's probably because the Smosh guys did something for Nintendo a while back.

NOA talks to people on Twitter. I have had several private discussions with them on there.

I'm officially in E3 Mode.

3 months in advance, but fuck it.

2 years ago, I would have gladly joined you, but Nintendo's past few showings have been everything but hype worthy. I'm still pumped for Zelda, but I don't trust Nintendo to give us the proper Zelda reveal that we deserve. Apart from that, it will just be news about previously announced Wii U games, maybe some cool Smash trailers, and the reveal of some of their leftover franchises for the 3DS.

I expect a 30 second Zelda trailer with another art poster design at the end to show the new style.
I don't think Zelda Wii U will look like the demo a while back.
I actually didn't like the style they used there
I also get the feeling they'll introduce some kind of Smash deal. Like buy Smash for 3DS or Wii U and get a free game or discount on something else.

Hype isn't about realistic expectations. It's about going out in a blaze of glory.

So, will we see more Smash in the E3 Direct or will Nintendo go back to making announcements on stage? I do like the stage feel, it just has the hype feeling (with the audience there too) that an Iwata Direct just can't mimic.

Somehow I am reminded of another character who has similar affinity on money. It can't be Scrooge though.

Nook would be hilarious if he has that mechanic and uses furniture/wallpaper/carpet for attacks... and maybe summoning a house from the air as a final smash.

For Tom Nook, they could incorporate things from Timmy and Tommy Nook
And yes, Tom Nook should:

1) Make houses out of nowhere
2) Take your bells
3) Do something with fortune cookies

Stuff and more stuff

Gerudo Orchestra Medley Theme

It's all they need
to an extent, as a big pro of this song is the way it builds hype and tension at the beginning
