Looks like Tomo-kun may have somehow realized that what's-her-face has feelings for blue haired dude. I mean nothing explicitly said it but his face at the end of the conversation was pretty somber looking.
I'm thinking of watching/reading Great Teacher Onizuka. I hear I can watch the anime up till a point then continue with the manga.Can anybody more knowledgeable confirm this? I've been pushing off such a high rated show for a while might as well give it a chance now.

This episode made me realize that they're probably saying "ai" in the opening, not "ay".
IshiharaxMasayoshi almost happened, but we all know Goto is Masayoshi's true love so that particular OTP is probably doomed.
SPEAKING OF WHICH, that cliffhanger! This was a surprisingly dark episode on the whole. I like how, despite employing the nebulous concept of "love" being kind of cliche, that they drew attention to the negative side of love as obsession in addition to all the good stuff.

I see good anime as the outliers among the sea of decent to crap. But that doesn't mean I'll stop watching.

Which he does. The narration says so, but the narration has also said that his past self and present self are different when all signs point to them being the same people, just with different social circles. Everyone has those at different times in their lives.

Instead of being the clingy cliche she is, she acts for herself and breaks up/distances herself away from Banri, yay for character development; now that I know the reason anyway. Before this episode I always that Koko breaking up with Banri was just some convoluted reason.

Show had a lot of promise but has ultimately fallen completely on it's face. Next episode won't be able to redeem it in 23 minutes.

The best part of the episode was definitely Kurumi's method of transforming into Hotaru. A little yuri moment in the middle of the fight that's gotten oddly personal for the warfare. Gekkou's being played as the bigger problem than the guy who restarted the war.
Mahoko's great, that much has remained consistent.

As a well-written high school dramedy, it's somewhat like Hyouka with much more pep but much, much worse production values.
It also uses terrible CG for vehicles, which is probably why duckroll likes it so much.

Honestly if SamFlam ended with a gay couple, I think most folk wouldn't mind. It would have been done very well and wouldn't have forced the sexualized/fantasizing aspect of it like many yuri shows. I'd give them props for it as well.
I didn't know this, but it actually makes sense after looking at it for a moment.
But it's the only fun kind left!
