Sakurai usually keeps up with his patterns. He's a people pleaser.
Not saying everyone should necessarily be expecting a character tonight, but it certainly does seem about that time. If not tomorrow, very likely sometime next week.

Groose is a great character, one of the most pleasant surprises to come from Nintendo, but I don't want him playable. Imagine him as an assist trophy where he appears in the foreground manning the Groosenator and lobs giant bombs at the stage.

.Uggghh. I want to play xenoblade and last story so bad. I hate having a 10-7 adult job and health insurance and bills and diet plans. I just want to play jrpgs and get fat. Like in high school. I totally forgot about Groose.. the only good thing to come out of skyward sword. I would totally support him as a newcomer.
