I guess may as well just post it now, 'cause I'm not sure if it's even worth the effort recording the vocals and video for, lol. Though my last parody song was well received...
It's a parody of "Good Time" by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen, called "Japan Time." (I don't even like the original song but that's what came to me, lol.)
Of course, the lyrics can't be fully appreciated without the accompanying video that I have in mind for it.
I know, that part was written in the perspective of the US, with people in Europe going to bed while North Americans stay up and wait for the daily pic, and Europeans just wake up early or see it whenever they wake up.

But it's hard not to be exposed to popular music (especially stuff like Call Me Maybe that gets really big), and although I don't care for the songs they can work well for parodies, lol.I actually have a few other parodies that have been half-written for a long time now that I may or may not ever do anything with, and they're not for Carly Rae Jepsen songs, I assure you. XD But it's funny, 'cause most of the parodies that I come up with are a result of hearing the song play over and over again at work and parodies just naturally start to form as a result of that, lol. Whether they're any good or not is another question, lol, and most of them probably won't even go any further than a verse or two.
Now I kinda feel like I want to go back and finish my "Denpa" Men parody song... Hm...

So I updated a couple parts of the song, replacing the UK/US part and the "doesn't matter when/where" part.
EDIT: Beaten! I was actually asking myself the same question earlier today, though, and checked the DOJO!!, which is how I knew it was the Pirate Ship stage, lol. So this will be Sakurai's first April Fools' Day when he's actually making posts about a Smash Bros. game prior to release...

If you mean on the DOJO!!, Brawl was already released by then. He revealed the Pirate Ship stage on that day, though.

Ugh, clicking that link kind of makes me angry. For Brawl, we got full reveals with tons of pictures to show off everything, and something new and cool was shown each day. But now, we're lucky if Sakurai graces us with a zoomed in shot of the background of an already announced stage.

Well he did have that lame Brawl reveal saying you must recover and showing a character jumping back to a ledge.
And when you got the game you had very little in terms of surprises because you knew everything already.
I guess their was a few dull days, but we never saw a picture of Luigi's nose as the only content for the entire day.
It's kind of hard to spoil a fighting game, although I see where you guys are coming from. Still, Sakurai put up spoiler warnings for a lot of the unlockable things, which would help keep some of the games reveals surprising.
On a slightly related note, what is this thread's policy on spoilers? Will we get a new thread to discuss the things that are leaked by fans or revealed as spoilers by Sakurai, or does anything go here. I just worry that someone will gain access to the game early and leak the character roster to this thread.

But look at some of the stuff Smash 4 revealed. We only know Ashley is an AT, but we don't even know what Ashley does and will most likely not even know till we try it for ourselves when we get the game.
I really appreciate the fact they are revealing stuff like that for us to find out and just merely stating that 'x' is in the game.

Personally speaking, I like the way this "dojo" more than Brawl's dojo. By the time Brawl was out, I knew everything. SSB4 is releasing in AT LEAST 9 months. Its hard to grasp that a new smash is coming out in 9 months and we know hardly anything about it which is more exciting to think about it.

Although I understand why you guys didn't like spoilers in Brawl, I loved waking up every day and seeing something cool revealed, whether it was something minor like a new song, or something amazing like a newcomer. To me, the pre-release hype of Brawl was as much as an event as the release itself. Instead of experiencing the new things over the twenty or thirty hours of gameplay it takes to unlock most of the important things in Brawl, the experience lasted for almost an entire year (at least, it felt like that long to me). I've never been more hyped for a game then I was for Brawl, and I think Sakurai's constant reveals only increased my excitement, not hindered it.
Besides, how often do you see posts on this thread complaining about boring Pictures of the Day? It used to happen constantly, before these last few weeks where the POTD's have been pretty interesting.
Personally, I'm going to have so much fun with the game when it's released that I won't care if I had prior knowledge of certain things or not. So instead of saving everything for the game's release, I'd rather enjoy it now.
