Oh, and these were the questions on PSC #2 personally answered by the Persona team, which Siliconera thankfully translated:
I don't really see what spring has to do with it, though? They did say that we should be hearing more about it at the start of 2014 last year, so that might mean Q2, if plans haven't changed.
I mention Spring because since it's being released this winter one would expect Atlus to advertise the game and show what it has to offer around this time of the year. I don't even think it's up for reservations yet in Japanese retailers.
Hopefully within the next month they'll tell or show us something, I'm as hyped as I can ever be.
Not that it's what's going to happen, but both Persona 3 and Persona 4 were shown off only four months before they were released in Japan. If we were to assume that Persona 5 would release in November at the earliest, a situation like that would mean the game would be shown in July. I wouldn't expect anything as a certainty.

It's not, from what I've seen April Fool's is more of a western thing than anything else. And the fact, as pointed out by Flux, they link to the website to buy it. I would just take ATLUS stuff at face value for April Fool's day, since they seem to be serious about this.
There are a ton of Japanese April Fools in the April Fools thread.
Indeed, animation studios (notably SHAFT) went overboard today.
SHAFT do seem like the type to get into April Fools.

I am a bit curious now, have any you guys pulled a April Fool's prank on someone, or have been the one to be fooled by a prank.
I haven't done any, but one of my friends has done it twice to me.
The first time he offered me a cookie at lunch, I ate it, and then spat it out, it was actually a dog treat. Ughh.
The second time, I was over at his house for breakfast, and he offered me like some Easter candy before Easter, it was chocolate eggs, except they were actually hard-boiled eggs covered in chocolate (It's as nasty as it sounds). The worst part, he actually thought of adding peanut butter to it as well. Despair is the best way to describe eating that thing.
