Fighting Games Weekly | March 30 - April 6 | High Speed Korean Downloads

I think there's more PS3 players than there are 360 players, or at least more skilled. Not saying that the 360 side is bad, but it seems like it's lopsided towards PS3 right now.

A year ago, I would've put 360 ahead of PS3 in terms of skill no question. But people have been dropping the game, so *shrug*

Well, we could also do one for the PS3 players too, but I won't be able to run that one because I am broke to by a copy of UMVC3 for the PS3

If there were a way to easily input names into the recordings (I'm talking under 10 seconds per), this would definitely be feasible, considering PS4's new firmware update will allow you to export replays onto USB.

My idea was just to keep a order of who played and line it up with the order the matches were recorded at. And yeah, they'd have to be hitting export after every match unless they increased the 15 minute limit by a significant amount. I figured it wouldn't be such a bad idea to do it in top 64 or something like that so it doesn't cause too much delay. But who knows, that could be bad enough already.

Awesome! It's a shame that they won't be doing qualifiers, but the line-up is so solid that it isn't a big deal to me.

I'll probably end up paying to watch the stream this time unlike Topanga Asia League.

This is pretty much like Topanga Asia League. Instead of a month long event, it will be settled in a weekend like Topanga Asia was. And that's more to do with the international competitors not being able to commit to staying in Japan for so long.

Yo, if we can figure out how to do a private stream. I'll go half and half with you. Hopefully Zhi will be around to do English commentary again so I'll tune in for that like I did last time.

Anyone going to Bar Battles in Philly this Saturday?

I'll be there as usual.

Crazy idea just popped in my head.....

It'd be simpler to use an LGP, but either way it's still time consuming, especially for an event on that scale.

What would help is the game itself saved replays offline per match. Some games already do this to export or only save online replays, but it helps when you want to go back and pull match videos once a tournament is over.

Sanford is going a bit nuts on twitter

After he was whining, sniffing, and literally sounded like he was about to cry last night at a few points on OBS, I really think Sanford has some serious issues he needs to work out(not like the stick throw didn't point that out though).

So through some technical magic, I'll be installing my PS2 and a dreamcast in a blast city and new net city cabinet. I've taken a look at the video output on a small 19" arcade monitor and it's glorious. RGB is amazing.

So my question is, other than Tekken, is there any PS1/PS2 fighters that were not done better or at all on other systems? No need to mention any anthologies or KOF. I think I have VF4E and NG Battle Coliseum already somewhere.

CvS2?

Ughhhh, yes. I'm not usually a rosterbator, but I was so disappointed Bison wasn't in Marvel 3. He would have been so much fun.

Pick a top tier, man!

So... I'm like totally going to Vegas in May, and June.

EVO is in July... I mean I can't possibly go 3 months straight right?

You must go for three months straight. Why wouldn't you?

The idea of every single match is pretty bat shit crazy. But every single semi-final match can't be that nutty can it? I'll pay, but I don't know who would want to put in the time to put that together and if it'll be worth it.

^ It's possible, sure, but I wouldn't expect match footage to be well-documented (e.g. recording player names for every match) even if people bothered to save archives.

I figured keeping track of players names shouldn't be too hard if they only concentrate on top 32 or 64. Only the best of the best are left and it's easier to keep track of since you know so few remain out of the 1000+ that the tournament started with(or hundreds when excluding EVO).

It's nice to see OS-level support for this, but as people have pointed out, the logistics of getting accurate information about whom is actually playing at the station is an issue.

There's a lot of ideas, but none have been implemented, or implementations haven't worked.

Ideally though, what you could do to boost production values given the statistical gold mine that is laying in these matches is off the charts.

The Topanga guys have just announced the "Topanga World League" on their stream. So far they only confirmed PR Rog, Xian and Infiltration.

The level of play on this will be disgusting! (shoutouts to @NualphaJPN for the info)

EDIT: The official page
The official line-up: Daigo, Fuudo, Bonchan, Wao, Infiltration, Xiao Hai, Pr Rog and Xian

Did I read that right? ~$15K USD for first place?

what happened on OBS?

After buzzkilling a more interesting subject and pronouncing the convo as shit, Sanford then proceeded to whine about Dudley supposedly being one of the best characters in the game(lol), him not counterpicking for wins, Oni having no good matchups, but got real emotional at streammonsters and a few real life people saying he's ass and shit sometimes before at which the whole obs call literally turned into a motivational intervention for Sanford's low self esteem, all while the chat is ROFL and going in on Sanford.

And oh god Triforce's loud speech to Sanford doing this somewhat intervention was just lol.

Sounds like Sanford being his salty self. Players seriously have to stop blaming bad match ups all the time.

I'm learning Tsumuji loops and it's kinda hard, so I mapped back (PC version) just to see how much easier it is to blink. It's insane, I don't see why every pro player hasn't wired a stick to it. I'm not keeping it (don't want to rewire an entire stick and I play on cabs a lot) but it is way too good.

Triforce said on the stream chat Sanford's going

He also said Dieminion can't go because they are still "recording videos to MTV"....wat
