Every trophy should involve farming pure bladestone. It's the only way to know who the true Souls players are.
Shouldn't even make jokes about that. There are people still farming that item lol

Pyro trainer woman drops a fire seed, and you'll get 9 effigies for clearing out the witch house in Things Betwixt. Killing NPCs will give you sin which carries into NG+ now, which will allow you to get invaded by blue sentinels
I think the point is the game should encourage you more to fight the bosses by yourself, or at least reward you when you choose to make things more challenging for yourself like fightingIf you were really getting old and grumpy you'd start ignoring trophies like I did years ago.
But the character in (forgot his name)said I don't have any sins and I killedBrightstone covein my first playthrough.Straid

The summon stuff is still wonky at times. Need to log out and log back in and hope it restores a connection.Biggest loss of this game happened last night. Lost around 75k on the Smelter Demon, then proceeded to lose to him 4 more times. Wonderful. 75k is a good bit of souls around level 93.
And one weird thing happened all night. My summon sign wouldn't work. It would just be grayed out when I went to click "use." Happened in about three areas. I was in human form and everything but couldn't use my white soapstone. Couldn't see summon signs of other players either. Hopefully that crap isn't going on tonight.
The trophies are too easy for DS2. Doesn't feel like a challenge. Stuff like Pure Bladestone was annoying but it seemed fitting and made it so satisfying to get.
I agree, but that stance doesn't really have anything to do with being old and grumpy. That's just wanting solid trophy design. The old and grumpy stance is more along the lines of, "I don't have the time or desire to chase trophies."I think the point is the game should encourage you more to fight the bosses by yourself, or at least reward you when you choose to make things more challenging for yourself like fightingorLost Sinner in the dark.Mytha without draining the poison

Going to take on the Undead Purgatory boss tonight, making it the first boss I've gone into completely blind. I only know what the dude looks like. Shouls be fun..hopefully.
Over 20 hours into the game and it just started doing that. Hopefully that is a quick fix. Thanks.
Magic has higher scaling overall and splits weapon damage between physical and magic.
Enchanted has terrible stat scaling but lets you keep all of the weapon damage as physical plus getting to scale with int a bit as well.
k, I guess I will try for rotten ng+++ then.I never tried Smelter with Lucatiel but I've read that it's god awful. Of course, you could get lucky and have that glitch where Lucatiel for some reason never enters the fog door after you. In which case, no need to worry about her.
Yes, you get an Awestone each time you kill him if you're in the Company of Champions.Best covenant.
the right question is: is there any reason to NOT pull the lever? Is there any reason TO pull the lever?
So what is up with theSpider in the Gutter?
Is it as useless as it seems?

he has a quest that you need to complete in order to get some good stuff, he also sells good stuff and he's an interesting character. it's really easy tokill him if he invades you, he's going to try and cast some spells but you can just interrupt him everytime going melee.
A poor defenseless thing that means no harm and drops no important loot.

On the co-op point I also agree entirely. I have never used a summon for any boss fight in a Souls game because it completely undermines the difficulty of the encounter, in my opinion. That said, I'm glad the option exists for those that want it and I love helping people beat bosses, even if it does kind of trivialize the whole thing.
Also, screw fighting MythaI just didn't have the DPS to pull it off...in the poison! I tried that for two and a half hours before looking it up and realizing there was an easier way...
I'll admit... I killed the host on purpose a couple of times.
You don't have to release him to do quest or shop from him.

What's the best way to just fight another player? I'm in the sun bros so I don't really want to change covenants. Any items to get or areas to go to just for a quick fight?
I found upgrading my medium to light armor to be hugely beneficial. The Alva set, which I used for most of my playthrough, almost doubles in defense when +10'd according to this chart.
And since Titanite and souls are so abundant later in the game, it's a waste NOT to upgrade armor.
Turns out poison is not good on the mastadon at all I should have put it one something else oops.So I've been having a muck around with my two maces in that power stance use both at once thing and it's great. But a couple of questions I've got about some things:
- Should I use a morning star or just infuse one mace with bleed?
- What is best to infuse a mastadon greatsword with?
Equip load should scale with Endurance imo. Endurance increases have become so incremental in the 20s, it makes it feel like a wasted soul level tbh
Asked before, but what does Infusion do to upgrading weapons? Thinking of infusing the Arced Sword with lightning

Barely touched the vitality stat on even my strength character. A few points was all I needed, but I find the heavier armors mostly useless anyway
Infusion will add damage for that element (in your case lightning), while lowering its normal scaling values (ie you'll get less physical damage bonus from your STR and DEX stats, but now it will also do lightning damage).
I killed it because the heart beat was creeping me out.A poor defenseless thing that means no harm and drops no important loot.
Finally beat the. You guys were right. Its much easier doing it alone without summons.Ancient Dragon
So it's worth the scaling decrease to make it a bleed weapon then? I'm going to keep my greatswords as normal from now on shame there's no crystal this time around though.1. I think if you infused the morning star with bleed you'd get a mad bonus to bleed damage, which could make it a handy PVP weapon.
2. For the greatsword I'd stick with regular +10 if you've got decently high STR and DEX, but if you've gone with faith or intelligence then you could be better off with fire or lightning infusion.
I'm not 100% sure on the second part as I haven't used fire or lightning weapons, but I think they scale with INT or FTH this time round.

So does everyone here hate me for finding that on my 4th or 5th run?
Got to jump from the ledge up high to left. Took me a few tries. How do I get this item in Earthern Peak?
