I remember it being something not really worth the couple times some people might die to get it or die trying to get your souls back after falling one way or the other. Just hug the wall when you try and make the jump.
Yep, they seem pretty easy overall except the ones where you have to grind covenants, i hate online trophies. Also i learned that you can farm wins for the bell covenant by killing the ninja dude in belfry sol.
You can max out the Bell Keeper covenant offline. Just kill that
red phantom that randomly spawns in Belfry Sol.
It can take a really long time though, but its possible to do it offline at least.
EDIT: Lol, no idea how i missed your last sentence, your basically saying the same that i said there, sorry But yeah, you can do it offline by killing that guy =)
FINALLY, fuuuuuck you Covenant boss, FINALLY! Wasted around 25 effigies to get to him, and of course I end up finishing him off with a classic melee encounter instead of Swathe'ing him to death. Right as I hit him with my final blow, one fireball hits me and should have killed me, but I remained alive for some strange reason, PHEW. My heart was pounding like hell.
I don't remember what the pyromancer was guarding, but the chest behind the locked door by Pate is a Great Soul Arrow. If you drop further down there's a Lightning Spear I think (or Great LS), and from there you can make a jump to that item in the picture and it's a Poison Broadsword and a Human Effigy. But that jump is a bitch to nail, because of the narrow space of the landing platform. Your character usually tucks into a roll after a jump and I kept rolling off the ledge or missing the jump altogether by trying to angle it so she wouldn't roll off.
So you need to find the exact angle where your character will reach the platform and not roll off. I don't think I'm bothering with that jump ever again, to be honest.
But you can't get infinite cracked eye orbs in NG, and if you invade often and win, you'll gain souls which will increase your SM so you can't invade at low levels forever.
The biggest punishment for using it is having to travel back to a smith everytime you die which adds two more of these long ass loading times to every death.
I'd rather risk my souls than deal with that honestly.
Man...even your allies are jerks in this game. My character, "Valor Morghulis" helped beat that big knight, who was dropped off by that big bird..anyway, after I beat him, I waved farewell to the ally who I was fighting with, he then shot me with the catapult. It killed me instantly. After all that hard work, I didn't get any souls for beating that boss. Aghhh.
Another point of contention is that the trophies in the games have nothing to do with the difficulty that the games are touted as having. It's simply a lot of time consuming tasks to gather all the items in the game. How about "clear the game while in the Company of Champions"?
Getting real sick of every invader being twinked out on Havels armor and using pyromancy hexes to basically 1 shot me.
Was in Aldias keep and had a naked fist fight with an invader. I was in the equip break pool, he came in with me. We were naked and it was fun. 2 naked men playing in the water.
Hah, on my new characters, here's what I did:
- With my mage, I just speed ran the whole thing. The area is very short, and I got invaded right as I crossed the fog, which instantly sent the invader back. As a frequent Bell invader myself I know how annoying that is, haha. But it's part of the risk, I guess. Got the
Gargs
first try with my mage. Pew pewing from a safe distance really makes the game trivial at times.
- With my new str build, I simply played that area during the server maintenance the other day, so I was completely offline. Got the boss 1st try as well. With lightning resin and my mace, they went down in 3 hits each so it was very manageable.
Interestingly, when completely offline in Belfry Luna,
you get invaded by an NPC "Bell Keeper", hahaha. Awesome. I have to try it in Belfry Sol too to see if it happens.
Oh, a fucking drop. Meh, okay. I'll find something nice for my mage eventually.
Right now she's wearing Desert Priestess Hood*, Desert Priestess Skirt, Penal Handcuffs (for the pyro boost, though not sure how significant it is... does upgrading it increase the strength of pyros or just its defense stat?), and the Drangleic Armour. With its red cape, it compliments the red desert priestess skirt and hood very nicely. She looks like a kick-ass Warrior Queen Sorceress. -)
* It gives +3 int, and I wear the Ring of Knowledge (+5 int), so at 32 int I have access to spells requiring 40 int. Not bad for mid-game. I'm sure I'll find better hoods or rings later, but right now it's pretty nice.
So wait, the reward for a rated message is just slight health (20%?) ? I must have put one that's popular in Lost Bastille somewhere, I've been getting rewards every time I log in since day 1. While generally always having full health so I never noticed. Assumed it was hidden stat like temporary increased luck or something. Lame!
No matter how much I talk to him as a human he won't sell me stuff. Do you have to complete his quests first in hollow form before he will sell you stuff in human form?
I started a new character, mostly going to use bows but I'd like some decent daggers. Although it seems there aren't many good DEX daggers, at least not early on.
