Anyone have their theater playing GOTG trailer?
Would love to hear the reaction.

it wasnt a new trailer.

the people next to me very clearly weren't comic book fans and they laughed at all of the chris pratt and rocket raccoon bits and seemed genuinely interested in the movie. the "what a bunch of a-holes" got a good laugh from everyone

the A holes line is fun. I think I read it somewhere it's adlib by the actor right? it's not in the actual scriipt.

Just got back.Wow simply amazing!

Everything from the fighting to the story was downright incredible. Whoever did the fight scenes needs to do all of Marvels films.

It really puts Nolan's Batman action scenes to shame. Then again, it doesn't take much.

Did not disappoint. Classic political thriller feel with high stakes and incentive, impactful action scenes. A popcorn flick really doesn't get much better than this. A classic.

Just got back. Fucking loved it from top to bottom.

MCU Phase 2 is 3 for 3 right now. Hopefully Guardians can continue the pattern.

Just got out of the film an hour ago... Gotta say the film was excellent!!! Humor, drama, action, spectacle and a little spoiler:
I love the way that the Hydra story from the first film was relevant in the second; *whisper* hail hydra. ;)

Would definitely recommend it to anyone that that asks if it was good.

My experience watching the movie was perfect but for one thing that wasn't actually in the movie. We went to an AMC theater which was awesome and so at one point this alpha male guy very douche asked me and my friends to stop talking.

Now he would have been fair to say that... Had the movie been playing. Instead he told us to stop talking during the trailers, now after he told us we stopped talking but we hadn't even been that loud. Not quiet but not loud enough to deafen the booming trailer noise.

It didn't ruin the movie for me but I will admit I did let it get to me.

Edit: For those who quote me later on, the guy had been a bit of a douche about it and if he had asked us nicely we would have stopped no questions asked... (Note: we stopped regardless.)

Loved this movie. Definitely my favorite of the solo MCU movies, and I think I liked it more than the Avengers too.

Did anyone who has seen it yet catch the easter egg before the credits?
On Nick Fury's grave, it read "'The path of the righteous man...' Ezekiel 25:17".

Yeah, I caught your spoiler text! That was funny and definitely meta.

Just saw it, was pretty good. Fight scenes had a lot of promise but were horribly marred by how it was shot... Quite sick of tight quick cuts to hide the actors inability to choreograph. And wobble cam everywhere!

Still enjoyable.

The Winter Soldier.......... phew. That's by far the most enjoyable villain/antihero I've seen in a marvel film thus far. Totally lived up to the hype and totally kickass.

Damn that was awesome

I still put the Avengers and maybe Iron Man ahead of it but damn it was so good!
Those fight scenes!!!

Saw it, 2nd best marvel movie, dope action scenes they really did that great and the story was pretty good too! Really spectacular movie! Will definitely buy this on blu ray when it comes out!

No offense Korten, but I honestly wish more people would stop checking their phones and talking amongst themselves once the trailers start. I want to be immersed by the trailer just as much as I want to be immersed by the film I'm about to watch, and a big part of that is gearing my thought process towards forgetting that I'm around a bunch of other human beings and turning off my "interact with people" mode; and watching the trailers with no one around me talking loud enough so that I can hear them helps me to get into the "movie-watching" mind frame.

I know you didn't intend to disrupt the alpha male guy near you, but talking in a movie theater vs whispering into someone's ear can make all the difference in the world to some; and your not at your house so you should be more considerate to others.

Again, whisper all you want (in somebody's ear) for all I care, but realise that if someone can hear you speaking, you MIGHT be inadvertently taking away from their movie-going experience...

Just a thought. :)

Correct. In fact, not only was that line ad-libbed, the entire lineup sequence to introduce the Guardians was purely shot for the trailer to familiarize people with the characters. Those parts won't be in the actual film.

It's a trailer. More so no trailer that hasn't been out for a while now. If it had been like a world premier trailer, than yeah, I would shut up and listen but every one we had already seen. But to be fair I get what you mean.

Also it doesn't stop the guy from being a douchebag, justified or not. Two wrongs don't make a right. If he had said to us in a respectful and kind way: "Hey do you mind quieting down?"

None of us would have had an issue, but he didn't do that. He started out very angry and trying to act dominant.

Also we weren't the only ones talking. :/

Asking nicely can go a long way, being a dick will only get you ire against you. Lastly this guy was an adult, it wans't some teenager or college student, this guy (I believe) was a parent and should have known better than to act like
a dick.

Just got back. Really enjoyed it but not sure where all the "omg best Marvel movie ever" lines are coming from. I'd put it on par with Thor 2, which I also enjoyed, but under The Avengers and way under Iron Man 1. The plot was fantastic but the general flow and action felt formulaic. Fight scenes were awesome.

REALLY excited for Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man after Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Cap 2 have felt more or less the same tone-wise.

Really good movie, but the very, very end wasn't done great
OK, lets go find my friend now! CUT TO CREDITS

And I thought the after credits scene was pretty dumb too. Mabe I just following the Marvel stuff too closely but
I already knew that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were going to be in the Avengers
, so the scene itself wasn't really as "Fun" as I like the after credit scenes to be.

Sorry bud, but you need to realize that once those lights dim you should be quiet and let people enjoy what they paid to see. Plenty of people love to see previews on the big screen.

Edit: Well I didn't see that he was a douche about it. But really, just don't talk.

Pretty damn good!

Had a couple female cosplayers in the theatre dressed as Deadpool and Amazing Spider Man....I don't understand why they were in those costumes. I wont mention either that they probably shouldn't have been wearing tight nylon/spandex with their builds either.

Such an awesome film. Can't wait to see
the twins
in action.

In other news, I don't think ending the title with continuation periods was a good idea...

There was another scene after that...

Like I said though, if he had asked nicely, we would have shut up (we did regardless), but he shouldn't have acted like that.

Also I don't like the idea that people here are going with the idea of two wrongs make a right... He was in his right to tell us to stop talking, he wasn't in his right to be a douche about it.

Didn't wait for that one (gotta work in the morning), but I just read what it was and it sounds pretty tame too. I already figured that
Captain had gotten through to him when Bucky saved his life at the end. Glad we'll get to see more of him in Cap 3 or some other movie though, he was awesome in this movie!

Sounds like there were more like 2 wrongs and 2 rights happening here. You were wrong for irritating him (and possibly others who were too polite to 'SHH' you), but you made it right by stopping talking. He was right for asking you to stop talking, but wrong for being rude about it.

Seems like you're both square now, so I wouldn't worry about it any more.

I didn't think this movie would live up to the hype, but for the most part it did. Pleasantly surprised.

Really good action, interesting plot, great characters and performances.

This was waaaay better than Thor 2. I would also put it ahead of IM1 and Avengers.

Absolutely amazing and flat out the best Marvel movie yet.
I think it ranks up there with Spiderman 2, X:2, Superman 2, and The Dark Knight as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.

dat good taste. good to hear you enjoyed it. i got a ticket for the evening on saturday. hope it's good.

Damn fine action movie. Each major sequence was full on insane, great theater experience. My friend chose the 3D showing, so it was difficult to follow some of the more frenetic cuts without getting a headache. Other than that, very happy I saw it.

Got back an hour ago.

Movie was really good. It's definitely among Marvel Studios best. Right up there with IM3, IM1, and Avengers, it had better character moments than all of them too. Only IM1 can compare there. The hand to hand combat for most of the film was great, let us take a moment and remember that shit...........

.....cont.

Winter Soldier was pretty badass, and the third act had so much shit going on and it was all patched together beautifully. I do have a few issues with the film, but nothing too major. One I can mention without giving anything away was the sudden close ups, and shaky cam during some of the more intense action scenes. The editing never felt sloppy during the action, but cutting into those shots didn't help them. Nonetheless, it was a fucking fantastic action movie, and the political thriller element added a lot to the film. Out of all the standalone Marvel films, I think this and IM3 nail the tone they were going for, and do the best job of keeping you interested.

Btw, I was so surprised that most of the people in my theater didn't know that Bucky is the Winter Soldier. Like isn't Sebastian Stan clearly in the posters? Or credits lol. Either way, I'm glad that some of them were surprised by it. A girl behind me was like, "I KNEW IT!" I lol'd.

Since people are giving trailer impressions:
GoTG, lots of laughter
TMNT, "that looked awful" -Group sitting in front of me and my friends
Lucy, no notable reactions that I was aware of
Adam Sandler movie, laughs
I can't remember whatever else they showed.

No X-Men, no Spidey. I head someone mentioning those two movies MIA lol.
