All the weird looks that Black Widow gives whenever someone mentions "trust" in this movie
. Referencing some comic thing I'm not aware of or seeding for future movies?

What's the Bluray release date for this again? I'm so tired of waiting I'm probably just gonna go with Amazon Instant.

September 9th, a little over two weeks from now. I wish it came out sooner, lol.

The Russos discuss Hawkeye's deleted scene in Cap 2:

http://screenrant.com/hawkeye-captain-america-2-role-explained/

Joe Russo: What it was going to be, we were trying to complicate the relationship between Cap and his S.H.I.E.L.D agent friends. If Hawkeye got a call from S.H.I.E.L.D saying Captain America is a fugitive, would he listen to that call or not listen to that call? That sequence actually was heartbreaking for us to cut it. I think it ultimately might have been a conflict with Renner’s schedule. But there was a great sequence where Hawkeye was chasing Cap through Washington D.C. there was an awesome sequence where they confronted each other in a ravine on the outskirts of D.C. and Hawkeye was shooting a series of arrows closing in on Cap, Cap closing in on him. And then Cap took him down and he realized for the first time that Hawkeye was trying to trick S.H.I.E.L.D, where he whispered something into Cap’s ear that Cap had a tracker on his suit and to punch Hawkeye to make it look real, because there was a Quinjet hovering above where they were watching the feedback back at S.H.I.E.L.D.

So it was a cool sequence. But look, there’s a million iterations of films, and especially when dealing with Marvel movies where characters can come in or come out during the creative process. And you keep working and working like a Rubik’s Cube till you find the right configuration where everything lines up. So even though we lost that sequence, I think we may have streamlined the movie and made it a little bit more propulsive.

One more week till the Blu-ray comes out...

Eh, I can see why they didn't leave him in the capacity they envisioned. I think he could have been included though in a different way backing up Fury and Hill.

Saw this for the first time the other day and I really liked it. Compared to the first one though, I'm not sure if I'd place it higher just for the simple fact that I went into the first one not expecting what we got lol, but this one I expected to be pretty good.

I got impatient waiting for the blu ray steelbook so I bought the digital HD version today. will watch later tonight.

Anyone buy the blu ray yet now that it's out? I am tonight, I'm hoping there are some good extras on the disc. Planning on

Went to get the steel book version at best buy on tiesday but they were sold out by the time i got there at 530pm.

Was able to order online, hopefully it doesnt get cancelled.

Yeah I guess each store didn't get a whole lot of the steelbooks, was thinking I could pick one up yesterday but they were all out. Went ahead with the regular version that looks awful but whatever.

Picked up SHIELD S1 too.

For sure.

"Captain America needs my help. There's no better reason to get back in."

That goes right along Steve's line in the first movie "I don't want to kill anyone. I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from." where I immediately was just like "I'm totally behind this guy..."

yeah the films have done a wonderful job of making Cap into the kind of selfless hero you look up to and have unwavering faith in. It's great to have him since DC refuses to give me those qualities with Superman these days.

Not really. The Audio Commentary is very good, the rest is fluff:

Audio Commentary: Directors Anthony & Joe Russo and screenwriters Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely helm this excellent, extensive audio commentary, beginning with a discussion of '70s conspiracy thrillers and their influence on the Cap sequel. From there they systematically cover every bit of ground fans could hope for, from casting to performances, story development, themes and characters, balancing action, humor and drama, shooting styles, visual and practical effects, stuntwork and fight choreography, editing, music... the full spread. Also dissected is Winter Soldier's place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, its connections to other films in the series, the things that set it apart, and brief teases as to where Cap goes from here.

On the Front Line: An Inside Look at Captain America's Battlegrounds (HD, 10 minutes): Marvel Studios overmind Kevin Feige, the Russo brothers and key members of the cast and crew offer insight into the production, the development of the sequel, the tone and style the filmmakers aimed for from the start, the intensity of the action and handheld camerawork, and the evolution of Cap and his appearances since Joe Johnston's The First Avenger and Joss Whedon's Avengers.

On Set with Anthony Mackie: Cut the Check! (HD, 2 minutes): A lighter behind-the-scenes quickie that focuses on Falcon's role in the movie, Mackie's casting and performance, the challenges of creating a strong character with limited screentime, and Mackie's habit of ending a scene with "cut the check!"

Deleted and Extended Scenes (HD, 4 minutes): A short but sweet collection of scenes -- "Hill and Sitwell Talk Loyalty," "In Pursuit of Captain America," "Nick Fury's Circle" and "Widow Reveals Her Past" (which isn't nearly as revealing as it sounds) -- with optional commentary from the Russo brothers.

Steve Rogers' Notebook (HD, 3 minutes): A closer look at Cap's notebook, specifically the ways in which the items on his list are different in various international versions of the film.

Gag Reel (HD, 3 minutes):
Laughing it up with the cast.

It sounds cool on paper but also sounds like it'd totally superfluous too, especially if that's his only notable scene (or only scene period). And you'd have people complaining again about how little screentime Hawkeye gets.

Yeah, to set that whole sequence up and see it through, you would have to add quite a bit of time to the movie. Plus it would kind of take away from the Winter Soldier himself if they released another badass to hunt Cap down solo, except this one succeeds where WS didn't.

Finally saw this last night. My favorite Marvel movie by far and up there with Edge of Tomorrow and The Raid 2 as my favorite 2014 movies. I loved how it didn't feel like a superhero movie. The pacing was excellent, the action was intense and felt like it had stakes (that Fury chase scene was awesome), the fight choreography was great. Evans just owns the role here.

My gf and I watched both Captain America 1 & 2 back to back last night, they really REALLY mesh together surprisingly well. I still love CA1, I think it's a fun and adventurous film with a lot of heart and patriotism, but man CA2 was even better than I remembered it being. I caught a few little touches at home that I missed both times I saw it in the theater. It's almost astounding how good a movie this is. Although I have to tell you, the preview for GotG at the start of the disc only serves to remind you of what the other best comic movie of the year was.

I still can't really pick a favorite between CA2 and GotG, they are now my two top Marvel movies but I don't know which one is THE top. It's just too damn hard to pick.

We are going to watch it again tomorrow night but down in my brother's theater room on the 10' screen with 7.1 surround. I wish I had the space to make my own theater room, LOL.
