I think that if they at least announce a newcomer + other stuff then people will be satisfied. I think "Nintendo fucking it up" pretty much equates to them not even revealing a character and spending the majority of the Direct discussing new features (like adventure mode and extra mode-esque stuff like stage builder), without a lot of footage shown. Which I don't think will happen but is possible if they don't want to reveal many more newcomers before the game releases.

I agree with this, but I'm just looking at how people are hyping it up. if there's not a newcomer and they just go over the modes and features, then that'll certainly be good information to hear but it'll disappoint a lot of people because it's not really exciting.
