Her terrible taste in men only makes a case for her here.

Bananas are kind of exciting.

Banana flavor is amazing. Bananas themselves are disgusting.
Artificial banana flavouring is pretty much the worst possible thing.

True that. Humidity makes the heat at least twice as worse.

Honestly, I don't know how humanity as a species survived before air conditioning. Sure, before the advent of modern medicine and sanitation most of us died in our 20s and 30s anyway, but I can't imagine how perpetual labor in sweltering temperatures with nothing but a rabbit skin over your junk didn't finish even the hardiest genetic specimens almost immediately. How did the Sumerians and Egyptians develop culture when it was so motherfucking hot with no relief? How did primitive humans achieve conscious self-realization instead of remaining beasts when you're being roasted in your own skin every second of your life? It's kind of amazing.
Slavery. Everything becomes easier when you live in houses next to a river and you have disposable labour to work for you under crushing heat.

Bananas suck.
Surprising coming from you!

Worst fruit
Best fruit
No this is worst fruit:
It's like eating socks.

Nah, this is the best fruit
YOU ARE INSANE.

In anime it's the other way around.

The character design in this is pretty infuriating, especially these crossed bangs of the main character. It wasn't anything special in terms of premise or execution, but I enjoyed the episode and the action was decent. If it means anything, it was a better first episode than the other two Bones shows this season.

Samumenco 21-22 END

I honestly never thought this show was gonna end well but leave it to Takahiro Omori to pull off one hell of a satisfying ending. The rather low key stakes really contrasts with just how batshit insane most of this series was and essentially ends up acting as the complimentary bookend for the beginning.

Thanks for all the laughs, Flamwenco.

Sega Hard Girls anime announced.

It's about anime girl personifications of Sega consoles and hardware.

why

I don't think Sugita's voice really fit Old Joseph. Probably the worst performance in ASB.

His Old Man Gintoki voice is ace though.
Um, well… I can certainly see why they made the (right) call now!

So, shit I still have to finish from last season:

Golden Time (8 episodes to go, don't know if I'll ever get the courage)
Hamatora (only watched the first episode)
Hozuki no Reitetsu (same)
Nobunagun (same)
Nobunaga the Fool (same)
Space Dandy (watched 4 or 5 episodes)
Pupa (watched 4 I guess?)
Seitokai Yakuindomo (didn't even start)
Super Sonico (watched one episode)
Wizard Barristers (didn't start)
Wake Up, Girls! (didn't start)

I'm expecting to drop at least half of those, but I'll at least try to watch them, which one should I start now that I've finished Zvezda?

EDIT: Oh, there's Buddy Complex and D-Frag too! Watched around 4 episodes of each

EDIT2: And Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha

I think you will like how Golden Time ends up.

Happy Birthday, Tohka.

Can't wait to see you and the rest tomorrow.

Mahouka Episode 1

I really dont see why this episode is getting hated on, it was pretty great with its animation and voice acting. As for the relationship between Tatsuya and Myuki it never felt like incest, just that Myuki really loves her brother, it even gives a hint in the opening about the reason for their close relationship. As for the action and magic animation it was splendid, just by experiencing the fight between Tatsuya and the shinobi shows how great the fights are going to be later on. The best part is that magic is clearly explained unlike some other animes where it just pops out of nowhere.

Onii-sama~ Onii-sama~ Onii-sama~ Onii-sama~

A lot less wordy than I expected it too. Then again, that would disrupt the whole flow by showing scenery while Tetsuya talks about the next latest thing in the magic world.

Action was good, dropping most of the words did help though not sure how confusing it might be for someone who hasn't read the LN. For example,
I found it strange they kept the appearance of the teacher and the comments of why a teacher was even there in the first place since they didn't fill in any details about it
.

I think its alright if they are targeting the LN reader, probably since theres so many readers of it anyway. But having that and then the family and numbers Tatsuya brought up but never explained could have been handled a bit better. Mikihiko cameo there though.

Saturday needs to hurry because we need shintaro, and also the ost sounds good especially the song they keep using in these.
This looks really good

My inner SEGA fanboy urges me to watch this. But it could use some more "consoles" like the obscures SEGA Nomad, SEGA Master System II, Sega Master System Girl (I think it was only released on Brazil) and SEGA Pico.

I also remember that the arcade boards were transformed into girls too. Are they not into the anime?

Oh come on !
How long is that dick Dilandau going to get away with it.
Nothing quite like choral music to make a fight epic.

The show was decent throughout but really picked up these past few episodes. Thankfully the writers seem to have abandoned the Hitomi x Gourry clone love affair, at least for now. The cat lady stopped being annoying too.

Though all my FMA predictions came to naught, I'd venture to say that
Allen's mysterious father is the Zaibach's emperor. Growing up without a father must run in the family.

The Tatami Galaxy - 3

Woo! finally getting back on the horse and checking out more of this series! I love episodic series as a whole so the format that the show has decided to take definitely resonates with me on a surface basis and the show seems to have firmly established the shtick for what I'd imagine the majority of the series is going to follow.

My thoughts on this episode pretty much echo my ones from Tatami Galaxy - 2, the opening scene of exposition that the last two episodes have started with were ... kinda uninteresting. Sure it served as the basis for the rest of the episode but its presented in a way that sorta fails to get you engaged into what's going on and the humor is still sort of lost to me. In this episode as in the previous one things don't really start to pick up until the Female Protagonist is reintroduced into the fold. I like the twist on the ending scene that they showed here though, seems like not every episode is going to have a glorious sunset to fall back on for a lot of the alternate routes the protagonist has available to him. Yay to bad endings!

That was quicker than I expected. Akari's already cutting her hair and, while she still looks like a crossdressing Raichi, she at least doesn't look like Ichigo's 2P version anymore. I enjoyed their performance of the second verse of Original Star, and seeing Akari moving in and Ichigo being the responsible one really feels like the show's made some progress. Slow progress, but it's there. The charm's the same as it ever has been, but it's getting so many characters that juggling all of them is looking tougher by the episode.

What a sad excuse of an anime. Most of the entire episode was just stills and you had the camera moving around to fake movement. Hell, even when the characters were moving it was some fake imitation of natural movement and looked extremely cheap.

Oh and the shitty writing
Keep associating your name with stupid anime like this Dai Sato. I'm sure this is how you can win overseas fans, with shitty fanservice.

This seems remarkably more competent and interesting than Phantom Blood was, which I only watched about half of. Less campy while retaining the same exaggerated, stylised aesthetic, somehow; perhaps the improved production values helped.

I still don't think I'll watch any more of it - it's fine, but not really my kind of thing in the long run. At least it looks like they have a budget to work with this time round though!

Neither hidden nor engine, but as the other not-as-hyped mecha show of the season, I was wondering what to expect from this one. The crude animation style looks like it may be on purpose. Every time scenes from an ancient scroll or something like that have been shown in an anime, it's always had that sort of motion comic look to it that this show has. It's a bit jarring, but for now, I'll treat it as a stylistic choice and see if I can adjust. In execution, I was expecting something like Samurai Girls, and with the lewdness level this has, it sort of is. If I had to settle on a final descriptor for it, I'd go with "Edo period Daimidaler". And the casting choices - Kawasumi, Yukarin and Miyukichi - feel like they were chosen to appeal to slightly older anime fans, but they're veterans of their craft. Just gonna have to see what they do here. There hasn't even really been a mecha fight. It's not perfect, but I want to see where it goes.

What is it about Taeyeon that makes her so adorable? Seriously, she can't be human. It's just not normal for a 3D person to be this cute, why am I so fascinated with her?
