I had to stop because playing jefailey was ridiculous when everyone would just choose schoals. No blind picks were a terrible decision. Once the vita patch is out, I am looking to pick things up again.

The Vita patch is already out. That's what I've been playing on. Picks being blind now is so much better. Personally I always go random. This is the first fighting game ever where I feel comfortable doing that. Because everyone is so easy to learn I can play the game knowing how to play every single character at least somewhat well, whereas in other fighting games it takes a lot of time just to wrap my head around how to use 2 or 3 characters well. In any other fighting game picking random could result in me getting someone I suck with. In Divekick worst case scenario is I get someone I'm not as good with, but I still know what I'm doing.

New Freedom Wars trailer called Tenbatsu, or Divine Punishment, shows a bit of the setting. It's not a perfect translation, but the text towards the end of the trailer says something akin to: "Divine Punishment: The harvesting of the arrogance/pride spreading across the surface." Or something to that effect.

I have never imported a game from Japan before, but this game has really made me want to.

Football Manager arrived this morning.

I don't know what to think about it, i'm in love with the thought of managing a team on my daily commute to work, but having played it for 30 minutes i have my reservations.

Load times seem to be extreme, i'm using 3 leagues as i prefer to bounce around countries managing, i think it might be advisable to stick to just 1 or 2 active leagues. When your waiting for what seems like a minute plus per day, it can really cut into the amount you can get done on the move.

The UI and buttons take some getting used to and i think the touch screen is a little finiky to use when you have to touch small icons that are close together, like the squad filters for positions, does anyone know if a DS stylus would work better for it?

All in all its amazing they've squeezed it into a Vita, and they have done there best but it shows why the mainline FM games have stuck to PC.

Hype.

I need some help. I suck at Hotline Miami, can someone give me some tips to not suck at it? I usually got killed when there are around 3 guys in the same room.

A DS stylus won't work with the Vita's capacitive touch screen. You'd need a stylus made to work with capacitive screens.

decided to sell my brand new OLED Black Vita....
maybe I'll get a Black One when Vita 3K is out or something (hopefully with the OLED again)

Are you leaving VitaGAF wilflare? If so hope we see you in this thread (now that it's supposed to be about Sony consoles in general)

I just got South Park Stick of Truth and fuck this buggy piece of shit. I've had to restart the opening tutorial four times and I still can't get through it. The counter prompt never comes up, or pressing square to use a power attack doesn't do anything, or I kill the shield guy and can't do anything else after.

Try to lure them out, and get them one by one. Open the door, enter the room, and then quickly get out. Then you can kill the guy who ran out after you with melee, repeat this until you kill them all. Or use a gun to kill the guy that came out and then wait behind the doors for the rest of them to come out and get killd by you.

You'll better understand the mechanics with time. I usually use rabit and panther masks for speed, that helps you a lot. But you can try others, too.

And always observe the level layout. Use it to your advantage. Experiment.

And get used to dying :)

I've never heard of any of these issues with the game. The fact it's happened four times to you makes me think you're just doing something wrong.

I had a itch to seriously discover hunting games a few days ago and caved in for Toukiden. So...
First, I'm glad with this purchase. The gameplay is quick, it is fun and the plot while not exceptional by any means, is interesting enough. But "Hunting" ? I'm not so sure for the time being. I'm early in the third chapter and this could totally change, but the game feels a lot more like an hybrid of a generic MH in mechanics outside combat and a Dynasty Warriors during battles. I mean, I touched MH just for a few hours some time ago, but Toukiden seems to be a lot more accepting to button mashing type of play.
And as noted by some of the reviews I read, yup, the game seriously lack some side content that would offer diversity to the experience.
But all in all, I really have pleasure playing the game and that's what's important.

By the way, and to echo another recent thread... last chapter 2 mission = shit just got real.

Is there an elegant way that I can have a second screen *just* for Twitch chat while I'm streaming from the PS4? I don't want the horrible overlay on the screen, so the best I've come up with so far is to have the iPad app open on my channel to read the chat comments - but that means viewing my stream while I'm streaming it I think?

With the introduction of Soul Sacrifice, and not too far even if we go back to its original roots aka Phantasy Stars Online where hunting action is kinda problematic as a genre when the only game that have actual "hunting" part is only MH. But it is great name as you can get the picture of how the game will played from this genre (compared to MOBA, which is to be honest really bad name for a genre).

Also when you done with it, please fill in the survey from Koei Tecmo Europe about the game. I write a very lengthy about the lack of different mission objectives there :p

Yeah, you've got a point, from what I played of MH, Toukiden and demos of other games in the genre, maybe MH is the only real 'hunting' game. I mean, I tried some hours of Freedom Unite some days ago (very bad idea, I can't manage two games in the genre at the same time) and here I really have the feeling of going on a hunting trip. In Toukiden, and others, it's more of a let's brawl feel.
That being said, it's not automatically a bad thing, Toukiden and all are really faster paced than Monster Hunter, which is cool IMHO.
Really curious to see how Freedom Wars will turn out.

I had the exact same problem with the shield guy on PC. I think I had to redo that part three times to advance. That was the only problem I had though.

You really can't managed to hunting action in the same time, but for me that mostly just in the introduction phase. Later phase when you already have decent equipment, I can switch between MH3U and Toukiden almost flawlessly (I dare to say that playing Toukiden.

Freedom Wars should be something that really change the landscape of hunting action genre me think, since it introduce PVP element. Something that is really new to a genre that almost exclusively deal with coop multiplayer.

Yep, none of the other games in the genre scratch the itch I have for MH completely. There's something about the management of your inventory, carving carcasses of dead monsters etc that other games in the genre just can't capture as well as MH for me.

This works for PS4, but never seen it work on those two. Interesting.

that's what I thought too. but I've put the last ps plus games and wolf among us on there and it worked. just checked a few dad l days later though. so no comment on how I instant it really is.

maybe they fixed it internally on the web store.
no idea.

LTTP on Hot Shots Golf for Vita. It's pretty freaking great. Would like to know if anyone here still plays it?
I still play it from time to time! It's definitely a fun game. (especially on plane rides)
I've gotten back into it. I'm horrible at it, but it's such a great game.
I also have recently gotten back into it pretty hard. A local Vitabro just bought it, and I am helping him learn the ropes, and it pulled me right back in.

Love hsg vita. I was on a tear inching near to platting it....then i lost my vita.. And still don't have a new one.

So worried my impact timing and distance gauging is going to be too off to complete the plat whenever i get that new vita..
You'll be good, it'll come back in time. Sucks to hear about the lost Vita..
I'm proud of that Platinum, only took a year to get that fucking Albatross!!! Lol

Double dipped on the PS3 port so I get go through that fun all over again.
Amazing! Clap Hanz High Five! I'd love to plat this one day...the hardest that I have to do is the double eagle, and completing all crowns. The grinding trophies are easy, not too concerned about completing those atm. Been stuck at 40 stars, 30 crowns for a looong time. I usually get all antsy in the pantsy when I am 2 swings away from winning, and I get greedy. Then I lose.
I fire it up every once in a while to stare at the most frustrating missing trophy on my account. :'(
One day!!!
Agree. Are the DLC courses worth it?
I'd say so, but I rarely have played them, I still get tons of enjoyment out of the regular courses.

I'd say we should plan a large HSG outing, but I doubt I'd be able to attend. My gametime lately has been screwy with increasing things in the "real world", and I want to actually play!

Is it just me or is this thread moving kind of slowly this month?

As an Etrian Odyssey fan who doesn't own a 3DS, I'm getting really excited for Demon Gaze. Is anyone else in this thread planning on buying it?

Everyone's stuck playing "Destiny of S
ucking PS+ Out of Your Account
"...?
I've tried that game multiple times during beta and final release, but I don't have the patience to sit through the relatively long and frequent load times compared to similar mobile games.

You're better off not playing. It's a good thing I noticed that it's the only thing I've been playing this week. That's bad. So I'm deleting it. LOL.

I am trying my best, never was so high on the wall (although Flandy is just in another league). But yes, a slow month. Frost is busy in Steamgaf playing random shit for Playfire rewards and without killatopak we are missing like 30% of our posts ;)

So far, the April releases weren't that big and interesting as well. I am not sure about both Conception 2 or Demon Gaze at the moment. My JRPG backlog is huge so it is not like I need another one. Waiting for impressions.

Approaching 100 % on Sound Shapes. Haters gonna hate on death mode, but I've found them challenging and entertaining (even DAT level corrosivefrost :))

Considering semi-drunk full-price purchase of Dragon's Crown to celebrate my mad skills

Since Amazon won't ship me the BL2 bundle, I imported a jp 2000 model elsewhere. Take that, Amazon.

Slow indeed, on past months there would be like half a page of new posts made during my sleep, every day (100ppp). Must admit I enjoyed reading that while drinking my morning coffee, ha.
I'm interested on Demon Gaze, but didn't play that kind of game (dungeon RPG? First Person RPG? Dunno what's the genre called) for ages, so it's not on the top of my purchase list as I have no idea if I'll enjoy it.
