The choice to favor either Tron Bonne and Zero in favor of Mega Man in MvC3 is still a baffling thing and personally I don't know why Nemesis and Akuma are in the game for any other reason than padding a series rep passed three per franchise.
Look at Luma. Does kicks to the side when Rosalina does that move. That wouldn't make sense as an Up Air.DaBoss, are you sure that's Rosalina's neutral air? It looks more like an up air to me, given the placement of the cosmic effect "trail" above her.
Dr. Doom is probably WAY more popular and reliant to everything in the marvel U than the fantastic 4 themselves aside from reed being in the Illuminati . Despite getting out FF stuff is self contained, Doom fucks with everyone. Super Skrull was supposed to be a replacement for adding all 4 of them .
Also zero is popular.
Also while cyclopes is right is popular now, cyclopes wasn't exactly the hot shit for a long long time.
DaBoss, are you sure that's Rosalina's neutral air? It looks more like an up air to me, given the placement of the cosmic effect "trail" above her. Neutral airs don't typically have that kind of reach.
After using the Luma Shot, it seems Luma's movements are random. Rosalina does have control over its attacks though.
I'm not saying that there weren't reasons for some of the additions mentioned there, but it still results in a seemingly random selection, since you can end up with secondary characters before the protagonist. Like I said above, Cyclops was randomly bumped off from Marvel vs Capcom 1, he was even promoted by Capcom itself as the main X-Men, paired up with Ryu in promo art. And, in spite of lack of popularity during some years, Cyclops has always been a central figure in all versions of X-Men aside from the movies.
Sakurai's approach of always adding the protagonist, before going for popular characters in the same franchise is just more consistent than Capcom's "sometimes based on popularity, sometimes on developers' choice" even within each series.
Didn't seem to deter Sakurai from going after him.No Megaman in UMvC3 is simple: Capcom JP thinks that Americans don't like Megaman. Seth Killian said this some time ago.
I think that is right. In the trailer when Donkey Kong grabs Rosalina and jumps, Luma seems to do a double jump trying to match the height level Rosalina is at.Actually come to think of it, in both .gifs, Luma seems to use some sort of attack that punches on both sides every time Rosalina uses her aerial. Is it possible that it's just jumping because Rosalina lands on a higher platform and it's trying to get on the same level?
God this is so confusing.
Tron Bonne was popular from Marvel vs Capcom 2. Zero is popular in general. Nemesis is cool and fun, so I don't care who he takes the spot of.The choice to favor either Tron Bonne and Zero in favor of Mega Man in MvC3 is still a baffling thing and personally I don't know why Nemesis and Akuma are in the game for any other reason than padding a series rep passed three per franchise.
If you were female, you could say it was SCARING THE LITTLE GIRRRRRL.Man this movie scared the piss out of younger me just for its concept. Looking at this gif though, I can't believe how hilariously bad the acting is. :lol
It'd probably be one of his his stage intro lines.I'll be fine as long as we get "We can definitely do this!" in a strong British accent.
Tron Bonne was popular from Marvel vs Capcom 2. Zero is popular in general. Nemesis is cool and fun, so I don't care who he takes the spot of. Akuma... Er... Yeah, that's got me.
My God, he's like a living cartoon character. If you were female, you could say it was SCARING THE LITTLE GIRRRRRL.
Ah, that makes sense.Akuma was the first one that crossed over
Capcom JP is really out of touch with its fanbase.Didn't seem to deter Sakurai from going after him.

This is how I feel about Advance Wars. I want the series to have a rep, but I'd take most of the cast over Andy.

Days of Ruin got such a bad rap for no reason.
Yoooo capital ideaOut of this Dimension.
When we first boot up the new Smash, what will you guys do first?
I'll either:
1) Play with the UI, these always have some fun tied to it.
2) Hop into training, choose Little Mac, Battlefield and Bowser as a large target and practice.
Removing the target of an adjective just makes the sentence meaningless. No, not corrected.Corrected
I love weird Japanese shit.No shit.
" hey lets reboot DMC because the people that have been giving us money for this weird Japanese shit, do not like weird Japanese shit anymore for reasons"
* it sells less than DMC4 and does not meet profits*
" It was a success ! "

Then say "with reality".My implication was that they're out of touch with reality.

I feel like a lot of Japanese studios are looking at the worst parts of Western game design and are replacing their own better parts with those, coming across as a horrible mishmash. No shit.

This makes too much sense not to happen.Wonder-Red, unlocked by beating 100-man Brawl of course!
Because people thought it was trying to be dark and mature. Therefore edgy.
Penny has the best CO theme in DoR.
Demitri's exclusion was Marvel's fault, since they absolutely refused to allow Midnight Bliss to be used on their characters.I'm not saying that there weren't reasons for some of the additions mentioned there, but it still results in a seemingly random selection, since you can end up with secondary characters before the protagonist. Demitri's situation is kind of hilarious. The one who was originally supposed to be Darkstalkers protagonist seems to only consistently appear in Darkstalkers crossovers made by other companies (like Namco x Capcom, Project X Zone, Cross Edge and Snk vs Capcom).
Many of Marvel's choices were based on what was going on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hence the inclusion of characters like Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, & Doctor Strange.I'm not saying that there weren't reasons for some of the additions mentioned there, but it still results in a seemingly random selection, since you can end up with secondary characters before the protagonist. Who said that? I recall Niitsuma saying something about RAM limitations and that creating separate models for each character would be a time/resource drain, but nothing about Marvel refusing it.Demitri's exclusion was Marvel's fault, since they absolutely refused to allow Midnight Bliss to be used on their characters.
Samus should get a Megaman costume.
And Megaman should get a Samus costume.
I feel like a lot of Japanese studios are looking at the worst parts of Western game design and are replacing their own better parts with those, coming across as a horrible mishmash.
Metroid: Other M is another example. Recent Japanese games tend to trend more linear, while Western games tend to be less linear. This isn't a judgement against either, but that's how it seems to trend. Metroid is remembered fondly for its non-linear exploration, so it seems like that is what Other M's "western touch" would be, right? Nope, Other M is inexplicably filled with horrible trends of modern Western triple A gaming: Forced walking sections, press X not to die QTEs, and "cinematic" touches like shaky cam during cutscenes. Meanwhile, it's the most stick-up-its-ass linear Metroid game ever made (And that includes Hunters).
Worst of both worlds.
The RAM was the final nail in the coffin for him. But even if they got past the RAM issue, Marvel was adamant about Midnight Bliss.Who said that? I recall Niitsuma saying something about RAM limitations and that creating separate models for each character would be a time/resource drain, but nothing about Marvel refusing it.

Back on topic, I think Palutena will be an unlock. I doubt she'll be announced.

And if only one of them summons the Luma, what does the other attack do when the Luma is missing? Is it just useless, or does it do some damage?
Have we actually seen Luma getting hit in any of these videos? I don't recall it.
Anyway, since neural special brings Luma back to Rosalina, that's probably the way you summon it. Since Kirby usually copies the neutral special, he'll probably throw Lumas.
From the reveal trailer:I apologize if this has already been postulated/mentioned, but since the character's name is "Rosalina & Luma" I don't think the Luma needs to be summoned. Like the Ice Climbers, you probably just start with Luma to begin with. It doesn't seem like (from any footage I've seen at least) that Luma can be knocked away/killed. The only time I've seen Rosalina without Luma is during the Up-B special move example, and it's hard to tell whether Rosalina is actually by herself or if the Luma is still on the main stage platform.
Streetpast Quest is a much better name than Find Mii.
