ok ok ok ok ok ok ok

well, while I was watching it and as the movie began to completely derail( Peter dancing way over the top and hitting MJ.. oh wow.. he is ¨bad¨ now with the suit huh... dafuc..) I wondered if I was actually watching The Mask or a Spiderman movie, loved the first 2 during those years and looking back at it 3 was a garbage move. Glad they moved on, never liked Tobey, he never embodied who Peter became after being bitten.

I thought it was awful the first 2 times I watched it. However, I watched it again about a year or two ago and I somewhat enjoyed it, actually. Not nearly as good as 2 but ya know.

Underrated? I really can't agree with that.
Receives WAY too much hate? Now this I CAN agree with. It was by no means an "awful" movie; "Spider-Man 3" definitely got a mega-dose of hyperbole when it came to discussing the three films in general. It was just an "OK" movie.

I'd rate the Raimi films:
1) Spider-Man 2
2) Spider-Man 3
3) Spider-Man

I can't agree with this either, lol.

I rewatched them about a year ago. 1 was surprisingly a lot worse than I remembered while 3 was not as bad as I had remembered. 2 was legitimately good. 3 has some very bad parts but I'm not sure that 1 is better.

SM3 may be a mess, but at least it's got some interesting moments. ASM is just dull and going through the motions so that Sony can keep the rights.

The original is just as bad as the third one. I watched it a couple of months ago and I can't believe it took me so long to realize how shitty Tobey is as Peter Parker. There's absolutely nothing cool about him He's a loser that lets people walk all over him. His stupid faces and lines are also groan worthy. Furthermore, the Green Goblin looks like a shitty Power Rangers' baddie reject.

SM2 is the only good one.

What I really liked about S-M3 was that you could tell by the way that Peter used his walk: he's a woman's man - no time to talk.

Do you have to tell me this one thing? Do you have to tell me this one thing?

What a terrible film, ASM is. Even if he isn't a nerd anymore, Garfield's Parker is just terrible for a variety of other reasons (and judging from IndieWire's review of ASM2, seems to have gotten worse). At least with Spidey 3, I can enjoy stuff like this.

This actually makes me want to watch SM3 again. My opinions may have changed because those videos were great.

I do love those scenes, and the "So good" scene. I don't care, they make me laugh every damn time.

Man I love these scenes so much. My favourite part is when he takes off his jacket and her hair gets blown away.

Yeah, I always thought Spider-Man 3 was okay. The dumb stuff in the movie was...dumb, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't entertained by it. Aside from "Emo Peter" being hilarious, I always did like the Sandman scenes (bar the retcon).

3 was at least entertaining...can't say the same about ASM, which I thought was mediocre and completely forgettable.

I do think that Sandman transformation scene is amazing both from the music playing during it and the imagery.

The part in particular that alwayss hits me in the feels is when he reaches for the locket and his hand falls apart. And IDK how they made it look like a pile of sand was about to cry but they did.

I really don't like Tobey. There's nothing that could get me to think he's a okay guy. Utterly annoying throughout all three movies.

Guy has two voice tones, low mumbling shit and screaming Mary JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE.

The symbiote seems to amplify the characteristic of its host. For example, it turned Tobey Maguire from the worst Peter Parker into an unrecognizable shell of Peter Parker.

edit: and yeah, I thought ASM was far better than SM3. Both have their share of problems, but ASM's problems were less core to "Spider-Man" than SM3's

It's been so long since I watched SM3 - every time I try, I think about the dancing scenes and it puts me off.

Maybe I should add it to my "Movies I Should Probably Give Another Chance In Case They Are Not As Terrible As I Think They Are (But They Probably Are)" list:

1. Titanic
2. Spider-Man 3

OK, now I just wait until I'm bored enough to watch the list (or, god forbid, add to it).

I haven't watched it since opening weekend, but didn't the symbiote literally drop out of the sky and land next to Peter with no explanation?

Spiderman 3 was so disjointed.

Sandman, Venom, green goblin's son? Make up your god damn mind movie.

And then the emo peter parker part, I remember laughing out loud in the theater at how STUPID that was.

It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's not great, and definitely the worst of the trilogy, but it's still pretty fun. Toby Macguire was never going to be dark, so I actually thought it was fun that they went with making his turn towards evil more goofy than serious. People seem to shit bricks because of this.

It's X:Men The Last Stand of the Spider-man trilogy; not great, but still entertaining.

I really enjoyed Spider Man 3.

I would rate the films:

1, 3, then 2.

2 was very unmemorable in my opinion, aside from Doc Ock.

I always LOL at Spidey forgiving Sandman, which I mean, good job, but you kinda still need to take him in for all those bank robberies and public property damage and, ya know, murdering your father(what a dumbass retcon)

The only problem with spiderman 3 is that raimi went the emo satire route when it should have been darkgritty for the venom parts.
