Speaking of which... It never ceases to amaze me that people clamour so hard for yet another Megaman game and fund its "next best thing" in terms of millions, despite having tons of Megaman games already available... but there hasn't been a Monster World game in ages, and no one gives a shit.Need to get promoted over the Mighty No. 9 kickstarter backers.
- I never got the impression that it was a mobile game. This doesn't look like it will make it, and I think some of the reasons are:
* Makes it look like a mobile/social game, for example "holding the phone" in the kickstarter video
* Focuses on "Made by x studio/developer" that never made any PC games or games known on PC (or at least not listed on their kickstarter page).
* Doesn't show the developers talking about their vision
* Doesn't show why they need the money and how they would use it
* Low quality kickstarter video (besides the game play)
* Still no developer diary
I honestly don't think it's the video that's the problem. I've seen way worse KS get funded to infinity and beyond because they said "it's a mix of popular game with popular game!" and "it features <this famous name>!". Monster World is just too niche, really.I recommend that they look at the top funded games at kickstarter and try to understand why they were successful.

that's fair enough, but there are a many reasons to think otherwise.- I never got the impression that it was a mobile game.
Just explain your background. Saying "made by legendary x" doesn't impress someone that never heard of him/her.- What are they supposed to say? "Made by... it doesn't matter >_>?"
You may not, but for any successful kickstarter developers try to convince their audience. Just posting screenshots and gameplay videos usually isn't enough on their own. (Neither is the reverse)- WTF, seriously? Who cares.
Yes, literally every big one posts extra videos a day or two in.- Not sure that's all that relevant either. I mean do KS usually have those so early?
That is another issue. Maybe it's appeal for the PC audience is just to small for that amount of money.. I've seen way worse KS get funded to infinity and beyond because they said "it's a mix of popular game with popular game!" and "it features <this famous name>!". Monster World is just too niche, really.
I wonder if it's is bad or good. Given that everything s pretty bad right now it better be good.

"Emotionally intense" makes me think it's bad news.
Game looks good, hope it makes the Vita goal.
I backed this game to play it on the Vita
Still waiting on this, I didn't miss it did I? I'm hoping it's some unexpected funding but that sounded way ominous.
We took the votes into consideration and came up with new and re-organized stretch goals. For each platform, we'll add a track from Michiru Yamane and another from our mysterious second music composer. On top of that, we'll add a new world per extra hardware platform reached (no exclusivity here, the content is cumulative and will be present in every port of the game).
Last but not least, each new World will come with its bunch of side-quests.
A final word about Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and Xbox One support: these ports will be done when the previous ones will sell enough for us to fund this by ourselves.
We simply need your help to fund the development Flying Hamster II.

With the initial funding goal of $150k we can make a great game with our small core team and cover the production costs of every reward you can order with your pledge. From our past experience we know exactly the cost of making a game, which requires funding and time investment. The more funds we collect, the more people we can hire to work on code, levels, music, equipment, enemies and bosses we can put in Flying Hamster II. So the overall QUALITY and CONTENT of the final game relies entirely on you. Only YOU have the super power to push it from a good game to an incredible game.
Alright, Vita is now the lowest stretch goal at $180K. Now do your part, you weird Vita cultists, and spread the word.![]()
I'm sorry but i couldn't take it really serious any more after reading this. I'm not saying it's not going to be good or it will be bad, but it will NOT be the best gaming experience ever.we are ready to deliver the best gaming experience ever

Game Atelier lowered the prices of their Vita releases to 49 cents in North America:

SunFlowers - https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...wers/cid=UP4178-PCSE00047_00-TGASUNFLOWERS004
Don't understand why this isn't massive.
Michiru Yamane joins the team!

My favorite part of the trailer lol:

So without assessing the appeal of the game I think their kickstarter pitch just isn't good enough.
I recommend that they look at the top funded games at kickstarter and try to understand why they were successful.
Edit: Or port their first game to steam first, to build an audience on PC
My 2c
Are you telling me Red Bull won't give me wings? Outrageous.
Unless they make their kickstarter goal PayPal is out of the question. Is there a way to back this besides Kickstarter? Something with Paypal would be great.
Red Bull can give you wings if you have a pilot license and are a good air racer. Advertising is one thing, but claiming it's the best ever, though totally allowed, is a statement that make you loose credibility. If you hear something like that then often it's the opposite and disappointing. So it can be a red flag (though many great creators claimed the same for good games. Still. I wouldn't pre-order when released) And Kickstarter i have lost my faith in in general, too much abuse.
