I assumed Raiden's heels were there to allow him to grasp his vibroblade with his feet. Unlike Samus' or Chell's they don't look vertically flexible so I don't see why they'd help with shock absorbing. Do you have any source for that?
Don't. To be frank, I'm not sure why others are allowed to state they (unoriginal) opinion and you're not. I mean:
Indeed no-one was saying that, including himself. You put words into his mouth and made him apologize for something he didn't say. What need was there for that? He was just stating his preference and how rare it seems to be (which is debatable in itself; it's just that some Melee fans are much more vocal).
I personally like Melee's physics more, if a bit too fast, while Brawl is too slow/floaty, so WiiU/3DS should be quite close to the sweet spot.
You know, the other day I was thinking about Snake in Brawl, and Playstation All Stars in general. The one thing I dislike about PSASBR is how disjointed it all feels. I'm even OK with the game mechanically (the orb/special attack mechanic, while cumbersome, is a good solution for turtling and kill stealing in matches with more than 2 sides), but the look is too mish-mashy for my tastes. In Brawl, Snake stands out as the outsider , but in a sense that works precisely because of his foreignness (I guess his codec conversations cement this). Still, I notice I pick him less than other characters because of this somewhat jarring effect.
But she may had the beauty mark in the first game! You never know! I love her beauty mark. It's a really nice detail on her. And the Samus Other M design is great, js.
But it has City Trial in the video title. Your post didn't mention anything about City Trial.This Smash Run's origin crap is the crap in the title.

I'm totally cool with all them! I'm not against sword users in general, it just seems that Fire Emblem has so many characters, and it's always swords. Those guys are the stars of their series and all have cool and interesting spins on it.

Lets just agree to disagree. If she used heel jetpacks it would be impossible to keep balance and keep fighting.
But fortunately logic is not allowed in smash and Sakurai could have had any sorts of different reasons to make samus fly. The attention to details on the heels is nice and it's why Smash is a cut above the rest but lets not kid ourselves he could have made equally detailed boots, jetbackpack, wrist laser wings, whatever.
At least ZSS looks infinitely better combat wise than her brawl counterpart regardless of her appearance.
Damn also a good choice he basically destroyed the end of the game

I don't know much about Fire Emblem, but do know there are lance and axe users in the game. If they add any other FE character, I sure as hell hope it's a Lancer, because goddamn Lances are awesome!

It's a Kickstarter for a full 2 hour movie documentary that will be released on Netflix about Armada, Mango's rivalry with Armada, and the rise of Dr. PeePee. Like I said, if you were a fan of "The Smash Brothers" documentary then you should consider pledging to the Kickstarter.
If you haven't seen the amazing documentary about the competitive scene of Super Smash Bros. Melee (which is technically the game that gave birth to the scene, not Smash 64) then you should go to www.youtube.com/eastpointpictures to watch the full 4 and a half hour documentary (preferably the Remastered version). It's really a great series and gives you a lot of backstory and insight into the players that made Melee what it is today (and some of which who still compete).
Just... thought I'd post it. Don't know if a separate thread is necessary or not... the thread I made on the documentary originally is far too old to bump.

There have been 13 FE games, 11 original and 2 remakes. Of those 11 games, Gaiden and Radiant Dawn didn't have lords (though Ike and Micaiah sort of fill that role in RD anyway as Vanguard and Light Priestess, as did Alm and Cellica in Gaiden). Across the remaining 9 games:

So there are 13 Lords, and 9 of them have blue hair. If you include Micaiah, Cellica and Alm, it goes to 9-10/16 (Alms hair color is different depending on whether you go by the game art, the box art, or the Awakening art).
It sort of makes sense when you think about it. Blue-blood is a term for nobility after all, and blue generally symbolizes peace, as we discussed earlier when we were talking about the FD color scheme.

I think the problem is they could have designed the shoes thousands of different ways and they chose high heels. For example the soul caliber guys could write in to their story that ivys tits are so big cause they are solar powered and therefor need to have a maximum surface area for maximum power. It makes sense in the context of the story but it doesn't make it any less silly.
Nah, man. If we're goin' far back to get a non-lord it should be Finn. He's the only character playable during the entire story of the Judgral Saga while everyone else is busy dying and he has a bitchin' lance.
I would also accept Master Knight Leif, as he's a main character in another game while also being able to use any weapon type in the game with the only exception being dark magic.
