SSD has online pass at this time and age? Damn if so.

Yes it does, and it'll be checking for it every time you do something online.

Doesn't matter if it's digital or not.

Does Sony even make games with online passes any more?

I thought there will be no more online passes going forward.

This will be your next game with online pass even if this one goes under your services list.

I prefer to have all my titles digitally, and I have no problem deleting 40gb of games I probably haven't touched in a year to make room for something I WILL be playing.

Don't see what the big deal is, but to each their own. If going digital only means I get more of these games localized, then I am a happy gamer.

KillZone did not come with an online pass. I wonder if SSD is just caught in an awkward transition period or if it.is just a Japan thing.

In any case, it being digital only makes online passes a non issue.

Can I remoteplay with one, while playing online with the other? And how many vita games support adhoc vs online for multiplayer?

I only have 1 Vita so I can't answer that question, and while one could describe me as an encyclovitia, I'd suggest Googling games your game collection for the latter question. Most Japanese games will have at least adhoc, where as the western games might lean towards online-only.

HOOOLLLY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I came today in GAF and witnessed the news of FREEDOM WARS & ORESHIKA & TALES OF HEART GETTING A CONFIRMED R1 ENGLISH VERSION RELEASE!

HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Not sure what it means by "GameStop Exclusive" though... what, so people outside US can't buy it or something? Surely not, right? Because that'd be so stupid.

I'm never, ever going to get a game that comes with an online pass for more than 10 dollars. Even if it is digital like SSD.

If it is anything like Xenoblade, we can't buy it outside US. /butthurt
At least we can get it digital.

Oh AND DEAD NATION TOO!

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Someone explain Oreshika gameplay to me please: do you make your own hero? I heard there's some marriage and children thing so it's like Conception or something like that?

GOOD GOLLY I am in a Vita overload mode right now. Can't believe I was greeted with Freedom Wars, Oreshika, Dead Nation, Tales of Heart R........ all over my face.

Worst case scenario you'll still be able to get it on PSN.

Ah, so people outside US can't buy it physical? Ah well, digital it is then...... Such a totally stupid thing though :/ But ah well.

I don't live in the US but I managed to get Xenoblade pretty easily from eStarland.com. I'm pretty sure these other "GameStop" exclusives will show into at least online stores like that.

GameStop exclusive? I don't think so. In fact, it's not officially announced yet. They mention GameStop because someone from there leaked the listing iirc.

Gamestop briefly put up a page on their website listing the game as a Gamestop exclusive. It's likely that the North American release will only be available in physical form at the retailer. I believe Tales of is more popular in Europe, so I'd expect a wide retail release over there.

GS themselves put it up on their site earlier today and listed it as exclusive (been taken down)

Yep, I saw the listing, but that would be the first time that a Vita game is a) Sold exclusively at one retailer, and b) Available only in physical form.

I think if the listing is real and the game is indeed exclusive, it could be that it has some kind of bonus exclusive to GS or it will only be timed exclusive, since I don't see them releasing this game without a download version.

Any recommendations for a vita 2000 hard case? I like my thrustmaster VIP case so something like that would be good (I assume the new vita wouldn't fit well in that)

One Piece is also exclusive and will be widely available in EU.

I quite like the basic Hori 2000 slim case for its simplicity.

it wouldn't be available only in physical form, Sony requires all retail games to have a digital release on Vita after all

it'd just be you can only get the physical release at GameStop

What? Xenoblade was available physical in Europe ages before there was even a US release.

The US version you couldn't. Region locking and all.

Never heard of this website! Thanks! I remember that around launch none of the online stores that deliver to Brazil had the US version..

I should clarify I'm from Brazil. My Wii could only play US copies and it was impossible to find a retail copy of Xenoblade here. If it weren't for lots of money and a friend going to the US I would never have played such an awesome game.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

I see. That makes more sense. I don't mind though, since I buy almost exclusively digital. But after P4G and FFX, I'm not sure a Tales game will cut it for me.

I still have some hope this is not #jrpgvita though. It HAS to be Type-0 right? Right?

a few questions before I sell of my Vita? do I just have to reset the Vita to factory defaults and not worry about anything?

I removed my 64GB, reset to defaults (it prompted me to deactivate my Vita as well) and inserted the 4GB. anything else I should do?

I'm thinking of selling my 32GB now... I can see myself actually getting a 128GB down the line.. Going full digital on the Vita is the best thing ever.

Hmm I actually thinking of getting those SFbags Waterfields? pouch for the Vita

Why are you selling your Vita?

From a convenience standpoint I'd love to go full digital right now, but I'm already too deep into a physical collection and can't turn back :/

So when i open the PSN store page, Guacamelee is $10.5 on VITA and $6.5 on PS3, but since this is a cross-buy game, and i have both PS3 and PSV, will buying the PS3 version give me both versions at a cheaper price??

I'm getting close to convincing my friend to get a Vita VitaGAF, he likes indie games, he's a massive fan of Borderlands 2 and I don't think the graphical downgrade would bother him much aslong as it's playable, not to mention he rarely gets the opportunity to use the TV and his PSP died which he enjoyed up until then so i'm sure he'd love one. (Aytrial would be disappointed at how I haven't smashed his PC yet to convince him) But assuming he does I was thinking I'd give him my 32gb card and getting a 64gb one seeing as how i'm alternating/deleting stuff due to reaching maximum storage, but I also was planning on waiting for the hopefully eventual 128gb card before I upgrade my storage.

So should I upgrade now or wait? (under the assumption we do get a 128gb eventually)

Your friend doesn't deserve a 32gb card. Give it to me and I'll send you my 16gb in return :P

Digital seems inconvenient given the current storage limitation, specially on the Vita. Also, I prefer money out of my wallet than money out of my credit card.

In another note, I don't know what to buy with $20, I kinda want Harvest Moon Back to Nature though, but I don't know what else .__.

It really isn't. Much more convenient than carrying around and switching carts.

That's true, but on the Vita I really don't feel like forking over $80 for a Memory Card. I also like to have my game cases, it feels like I'm getting my money's worth over an icon on my home screen imo.

That's completely psychological. All you're getting extra is a piece of plastic. As someone that travels a lot stuff like that just becomes a burden and is no more than useless clutter.

You're paying for the game not a piece of plastic or an icon on your home screen.

While I do find digital much more convenient on Vita than retail (or one retail release and mostly digital) I certainly do feel as though it's a bit of a peril once you hit max storage and have to reshuffle/delete stuff, especially for someone like myself who has to deal with 100gb download cap every month if I want to redownload them.

That and the price of entry for upgrading memory cards, but with that said lower amounts of storage on the PSP cost way way more here in Australia before they pricedropped (were around $200 for a 32gb at one stage if I remember right) so they don't bother me on the Vita as much as they did back then on the PSP. (which is probably why I'm still on a 4gb memory stick and never upgraded back when I didn't use ebay or online stores)
Tsunamo pls ;__;
I always drive a hard bargain :3
