It's great that Hearts will release in the Winter season. Brownie points if it's out near Christmas so that people can pick a Vita up too as gifts.

Winter 2014 also implies early 2015 and that's when i expect it TBH.
I think they'd just classify that as "Winter" with no year.

OT, surprised they choose Hearts R over Innocence R which has less text. Either way this might be what finally pushes me to get a Vita. That or memory sticks not being more expensive than the games.

I always figured it would be a July/August release. Around the same time Xilla came out last year

Surprisingly, disliked everything in Xillia.
Did you actually think it was going to be Type 0? A PSP game for jrpgvita? Because Square Enix certainly wouldn't be dumping resources into remaking a whole game for the Vita because some people in North America and Europe asked for it on Twitter.
Well FFX/X-2 sold very nicely on Vita and was clearly a testbed for future SE Vita support.

Given the...pretty decent trend for series re-releases and porting, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a 10 year anni of Vesperia maybe.
I don't really care for Hearts R. Nor do I have a Vita (and Hearts R isn't really the "push" to buy one yet).
I do like the idea of a new Tales of Eternia. Hands down, the most underrated (or least talked about) in the Tales series.

Happy that it's coming like I said in another thread. Excited to play this. I do wonder if they will cheapen out on the localization a bit since it's on Vita and we know how it's not a success in the west. The gamestop rumor seems to imply it will be digital only with a gamestop exclusive retail version. Maybe it will have only Japanese VA too? Deception IV was like that recently. At worst it could be like Growlanser IV PSP haha.

I still remember the first thread for this game was people complaining that it was inferior to the DS version. The original Hearts for DS was never even translated so I don't see how it could make people think it's inferior when they probably didn't even play the DS version.
I'm really excited just to finally have a Tales game on my Vita though!
Hopefully we get some more concrete stuff on the game soon so I can know when to preorder.Yup sounds like it might be ToHR then. Still nice to see us getting it, hopefully we get Innocence at some point also.

Why does that matter? They're on different platforms and they're releasing at the same time, but in different regions. It doesn't mean anything.

Well...in Japan. The split between the PS3 and Vita in NA was 4:1 in favor of PS3. If they're going to bring Type-0 over on the Vita they might as well make a PS3 or PS4 version too.
