Totally fine with the PS3 lineup, been wanting those games for a while. But compared to Muramasa/HSG, Vita got the shaft this time.
Seriously, who hasn't played Limbo by now? It's been on a billion humble bundles and runs on any calculator of a computer.
It's straight garbage compared to EU. Again.
PlayStation Plus for May! - Stick It To The Man! (PS4), Puppeteer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Skullgirls Encore (PS3), Surge Deluxe, Limbo (PS Vita), more
These are the same:
Stick it to the Man! (PS4)
Puppeteer (PS3)
These are bad choices:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (PS3)
Strictly speaking from the US point of view, soccer isn't that big here. And most people who are into soccer here either (1) prefer FIFA or (2) already own it.
Skullgirls Encore (PS3)
Fantastic game. However, it's been on deep discount everywhere on PS3 (vanilla) and PC (the equivalent of encore). If you have a decent PC, it's better there to begin with. If you want it on PS3, odds are you bought it when it was less than $5 previously and got the free upgrade to Encore. So again we get a game that's basically been heavily featured in sales so that a good majority of PS+ owners who were interested at all *should* have it.
PS Vita:
Surge Deluxe (PS Vita) - I don't own it, was going to buy it to support Futrlab, but never got around to buying it. It's a $5 game for crying out loud -- it costs less than a PSone classic and 95% of PSP games. I'm probably going to buy it prior to it going free at this point too.
Limbo (PS Vita) - Again, it's been on sale 84 times in the past year. It's cross-buy with PS3 (or at least it was?) so any of the sales have applied to it. I liked the game on Vita and recommended people check out the port if interested the next time it was on sale. And yet, here we are, getting it free... yes, EU got it free, but that was a long time ago so it would have saved anyone with PS+ from spending money on it during the sales.
SCEA really is a dumpster fire.
They finally did something good with the maintenence that allowed all PSOne games to be downloaded through your download history, but that was probably some fluke and they'll end up "fixing" it so it's back to the way it was at this rate.
