The Infamous SS Soundtrack is free on the Asia PSN. Although it is a PS4 app so regular members just can't download it for free music.

Yay! Top of the page recommendation time!

Buy Demon Gaze!

hmm I remember the HSG sales.. hmm but it was not at my.. YES BUY range :/
and it does not include all the DLC and stuff too

there was one hsg sale in dec 2012/Jan 2013 where the game was like 7$? maybe 13$?

thats the lowest ive seen it.. i dont think u were in the thread then with a vita yet. at least i hope not because those prices better be in your BUY range and not owning a vita then is ur only excuse.

Already budgeted, just no point for me to buy it while I'm still in the middle of a Toukiden / Conception 2 / Project Diva-f playthrough :p
About the later, Project Diva has some serious contenders for songs that burn themselves in you brain. So gooddddd...

Demon Gaze has a few too thanks to its Vocaloid IA soundtrack.

Dec 2012/Jan 2013.. I bought a Vita during Black Friday 2012.. but I was travelling ALOT then... so I probably missed the sale.

(travelling with no stable WiFi)

You know that HSG is 13.49$ right ?
I mean that's only for the base game and maybe out of your insta-buy zone, but it's relatively cheap even without a sale.

Hah, I can't even be mad, I own or have played all of the PS3 and Vita games for May PS+ both EU and US lineup besides PES2014. Doesn't bother me though, I really liked almost all of those games, and am happy I supported the devs a bit more.

Skullgirls is awesome, definitely my favorite fighter on consoles. Puppeteer is awesome, one of the best presentations of a game ever, and perfect Co-op for me and my girlfriend who barely plays games, she was happy just controlling Ying/Pikarina and watching the story. Limbo is one of the first indie games I played, and I thought the way it told a story and created an atmosphere with no voice or text was awesome, though I actually feel it is one indie I would prefer on my TV and surround sound system to my vita. I am selfishly glad Muramasa is EU not US, because I bought it full price and haven't gotten to play it yet, and it always bums me out a bit when I buy a game that becomes free before I have even played it once.

Can't complain about continuing to build my PS4 library before getting my console this summer, gonna have a pretty solid library already when I get it.

First impression: it's a space dogfighting game on my Vita.

The lighting seems to have improved from the beta, and the performance in the first level as well. Not that that's saying much with this game's visuals. Cockpit view and HUD icons look like badly compressed jpegs. And the people....

To be fair, that's the ugliest dude in the ship. Even the better looking models look horrible in cutscenes, mainly due to the minimal animation. Everyone just stands with their hands on their sides, moving their mouths a bit while staring past you. Once you're in space, things start looking a bit better. The models are fairly detailed and the pilotable spacecraft have little hatches that open and close, thrust nozzles that open as afterburners engage, and other such animations.

In terms of gameplay, the ships control well enough. You can shoot lasers and fire missiles and activate stealth fields and whatnot, but most of your missions in the main campaign will be spent staring at waypoints as you make your way to them. And when you get the chance to fight enemies, the enemy AI doesn't make the experience any more exciting since most just fly lazily around, occasionally shooting at you if you cross their path. In Chapter 2, you fight an enemy ace pilot at the end of the level. When the dogfight started, he immediately started flying into a wall, letting me shoot him until he died. I've only died once so far, because I crashed into an enemy ship by accident which killed me instantly.

The game runs smoothly overall, except during large battles/scenes. In those situations, I've experienced slowdown so bad that the game ran at almost half speed.

So far, I'd suggest you save your money. Not because of the visuals or performance, but because the game is simply boring to play. If things pick up, or if the other single player mode is way more fun, I'll be sure to let you guys know but I've completed four story missions out of (supposedly) 10 and they've been short, flat affairs.

So yeah. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

Still a junior so can't make a topic but can say my impressions on the Oreshika 2 demo.
The art is gorgeous and it feels really japanese. Once you start, you can make a character from scratch with over 68 hairstyles etc or take a picture ala Mii Maker.
You make your clan, fight monsters in dungeons and time passes one month after clearing one. Making babies with gods takes a month too and after one extra month, you can use them in battle. Battles are really fast, but the slowdowns in noticeable though not game breaking. There really is potential in this battle system which is kind of deep with several classes, skills etc. Don't have a Vita TV so no footage :(

Pictures taken from the camera button in the game interface itself.

Is it possible to use the mic in the Pulse headset (Pulse Elite in the US) with the PS4 when connected to the DS4 with the cable rather than wireless (wireless I found it cut out a lot on the PS4)? When I played with the settings, the only input option I had was for the camera mic.

That second picture... I can't stop laughing at it.

Man I don't even know if I would buy Muramasa if it had a PS+ discount.
5 of the games I bought with a PS+ discount since the beginning of the year have been added to the IGC -__-

You can at least tell us what game it was.

He did:

Ok, that's it.

- It's niche, so nippon ichi, nisa or some other small publisher.
- Modern or near future setting. - Ayup
- The hero is a teen and there is a girl (yeah I know, very helpful), maybe not on the same side of things at first - Yeah yeah, well disregard the opposite side though
- I think there is a war / secret war / threat on people - totally
- Maybe cards, yeah it may have cards in it - Bingo !!!

Evidently this was such a shitty vague description that it's not surprising nobody could help me. And I mislead people because it turns out the game wasn't a Vita game but a PS3 game.

Zillions Of Enemy X

The spoiler tags don't do a very good job announcing that the found out the game's name, tho.

I noticed that my Vita's led turns on every so often, I'm assuming it's just for checking for updates and the like but since I don't leave the wifi on it's pretty useless, is there a way to turn it off?

Anyone?

Thanks for the impression, it looks so good.
Can't you take screenshots normally?

Flandy pls
Everything bar Payday 2 next month I've already bought beforehand :(

I'm truly sorry if it came out as rude, wasn't my intention at all, but it was 10 posts above, on the same page T_T

Yeah, in hindsight the spoiler tag wasn't particularly a good idea, but I figured that if someone cared about my search at this point, well he would click on the spoiler :-S

And I'M VERY VERY SAD that nobody saw my fantastic pun !!!
"Thanks for the suggestion but the mystery is resolved. I had to sift through a zillion titles to learn the name of the game."

Fuck it, not even a :I see what you did there.gif:

But did you buy it with a PS+ discount? I've had a few months where I've already owned games added to the IGC, but this pisses me off because Sony had a PS+ discount on them recently

Do you mean the blue led in the PS Button? If connected online, yea it blinks when there is a new notification. If the system is charging, I think it does the same deal. But sitting by itself, no juice or interwebs running to it...it still blinks occasionally. There might be a setting in the options to turn off PS Button notifications I think, iirc. I personally love it, especially at night in the dark, because my whole Vita (superior AC white version) glows blue with it :D

Now, if you are meaning that the screen is coming on (to show the welcome splash screen with the time) occasionally, that is a horse of a different color. That was happening a lot to almost all Vita owners after a system update, many updates ago. It's been fixed since, with no new reports for a while it seems. Hopefully it's not making a comeback, and you mean the PS Button.

I bought Muramasa when it was on sale for less than halfprice (or around that) here so I'm not too phased because I got my moneys worth a few months ago, but yeah I can totally understand why you'd be pissed buying the game with a PS+ discount then not long after have them added to the IGC.
Chain Chronicle V announced for Vita, a remake of a popular Sega F2P SRPG for IOS/Android.

It seems that Samurai & Dragons and PSO2 are pretty sucessful for Sega.
Looking at some youtube footage of the iOS/Android versions it looks like fun and a game I'd enjoy on Vita. It's a shame it's Sega so my hopes for localization are low.

I have the 2000 model so it's a green led on top of the Vita but I think it has the same purpose, but anyway, no, the screen is off and they're not notifications since I always have the wifi turned off when I'm not using it and that's why I'd like to turn that off, it's useless for me.

It does the same when I push the power button to put it in standby, it stays solid green for a few seconds, it starts blinking and then it turns off.

Ah, well then my apologies, sadly I have no experience with the 2k models :( One day, I'd like to get one. Aside from something in the settings...I'm at a loss....

2kVitaGaf, assemble!

You should be able to do it, hold the PS button to open the device menu and it should give you the mic and audio options for the controller. I'm not sure you can set it properly from the main menu on the dashboard/whatevertheycallit

That second picture... I can't stop laughing at it.

Tbh, I burst out laughing when I first saw him. Every time I calmed down and looked back, I started laughing again. One of my friends wanted to know what the fuss was, so I showed him and he started laughing too.

It must have lasted 5 minutes at least lol.

Plus, he looks worse in motion. His standing animation involves him randomly tilting his head up in an "aw yiss" kind of way.

Someone needs to post a video of that. Post here if you find one.

Yesterday I downloaded the Starlight Inception demo from the EU PSN, it seems it was the full game. Today the demo is no longer available, so yes I just got a free game by chance.

Has anyone tried dekamori senran kagura? Have about 6000 yen left after buying all the Z3 DLC. Considering either that or picking up a few psp games.

I'm having great fun with Dekamori so far, but I think one has to appreciate the absurdity of it all to get the most out of this game.

The game mechanics are sound and there's certainly a degree of challenge involved, but I'm kinda disappointed with the track list, few tracks have vocals, I think it's something like 2 vocal tracks per pack and two additional tracks for the DLC characters Suzune/Daidouji.

Dizzy Ziddy has a great collection of videos on his youtube channel, if you wish to take a closer look ^^

stupid question, gonna make a EU psn account to reap in their ps+ and other deals

games don't get censored in spain right? (using spain since I have family there and I'll be using their address)

VitaGAF! For the past few months I have been completely addicted to Spelunky on my vita, and realized that that game is exactly the experience I am currently looking for on the system, a game I can pick up and jump right into for 15 minutes or so (or more if I actually have a good run) without having to worry about picking up a save or wondering where I left off or what I did last. Similar to Binding of Isaac which I was also addicted to, and cannot wait for Rebirth on vita. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for similar games on vita, heavily pick up and play, with sessions of 15-30 minutes, and not much worrying about keeping a story or narrative together. I don't have any games I would really describe this way, so safe to assume whatever fits the bill I don't already have.

Not to say I don't like the longer games, but a quick pick up like Spelunky has been great for the end of school to give me a bit of time off between studying, so anything similar would be awesome.

Hotline Miami. It has a story (that's quite good if you dig into it) but it's pretty unobtrusive, and it's mostly about clearing out levels. Stealth Inc. so far is a bunch of tiny stealth levels and seems pretty cool so far. I haven't played it yet but OlliOlli might be worth checking out as well.
