The sad thing, is we literally had the same exact discussion last night.
And funny how the talking points/responses are the same.
Wonder if this will be the next 2 years. :(
Yes.
Yes it will be.
Get used to the same old responses

Strange will probably happen, I put BP there because it's further on the unlikely/difficult scale of IPs to make a film out of.Replace BP with Doctor Strange and you got a safe bet.
It will be. People talk nonsense until the movie comes out and is a huge success. Then the game changes again, and so does popular opinion on how something absolutely has to be done or bust. The sad thing, is we literally had the same exact discussion last night.

Let's...let's not.Lets hope for the Bearded/hook hand version
I think black panther will be a side part in Cap 3. Probably test the waters a bit and see how the crowdresponds
I'm not even tryna stan for this movie because it could certainly turn out poor. But I'd at least like to wait to see a plot synopsis or a trailer or at least a fucking title before I decide if it's going to be bad
It's one thing to not like the casting; that's cool. Even I'm not entirely sold on Gal Gadot. But declaring the movie a trainwreck based on rumors and your own idea of how superhero movies should work just seems odd to me. Why not wait for something more substantial to chew on?
Let's...let's not.
edit: is Batman-News.com the only source for this? Because that is not the most solid of sources.
Wakanda referenced or shown in AoU with BP appearing in IM4 or Cap 3 would be pretty sweet.
I WANT it to be good
But I know it could just as easily turn out horribly.
But yeah casting announcements are small fry.
Really the first real mental test will be the costume reveals.
I thought Man of Steel was supposed to be a more realistic Superman. How are they going to switch it and make it plausible, with all these other superheroes?
Overtly referenced? Wasnt wakanda shown on the world map in starks lab in iron man 2?
Batman-News is very reliable and the guy that runs it is not the type to post click-bait or unbelievable rumors unless he's confident what he's posting is accurate so I'd trust him. He was one of the first to post that Anne Hathaway was auditioning for TDKR I believe.
Waiting to see Wonder Woman's costume got me legit shook.
I'm hopeful cause I'd the costume design in MoS. But I just know they're gonna put her in a pair of the ugliest pants the world has ever seen. lol
It was? That's news to me. Good that it's already established in the universe though, noe they just need to realise it and cast BP.
yeah, this is my assumption as well. aquadude will probably just show up to tell them to leave it out of the ocean or some shit, and maybe do some assist work in the final battle against the big bad of the movie.Making a World's Finest movie with a supporting role from Wonder Woman and cameos from Aquaman and Cyborg.
If Aquaman, great casting, but Exhibit S why DC still hasn't learned shit from how Marvel built their MCU and what made it successful. Too much up front with not enough to work off of. People will have trouble latching onto any character if there's not even groundwork for them already, especially considering people are already cozy with the MCU.
I don't get this, I bet a good 65% of the people that watched Avengers on theaters didn't watch any of the previous movies. If anything Avengers boosted the popularity of 'unknowns' like Thor and Black Widow.
Do you really need to tell the audience who Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are?

Why would you cast someone like him as Aquaman?
That's what Michael Cera is for
Unless you're the type to get offended over Snyder sexualizing the character, i'd say it's safe to not be legit shook.Waiting to see Wonder Woman's costume got me legit shook.

He would make a hot Aquaman-- blonde, shorter hair, few clothes, Trident, win.
Making a JLA movie without building the franchises?
Gonna be a disaster. They need to learn from Marvel.
This movie sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. How did this go from Superman and Batman to fucking adding Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman! WTF !!!
The skirt has always been my choice because I think it fits the character, but I don't object to the pants. Not on principle, at least. My problem is that every WW in pants design I've seen either doesn't work with the character or is just kind of ugly and drab.Unless you're the type to get offended over Snyder sexualizing the character, i'd say it's safe to not be legit shook.
The pants vs skirt thing could go either way. I imagine we'll see both in time, maybe the shorts too.
Tbh, Wonder Woman is the only character who really "needs" an origin movie. The others though? There's nothing interesting about Flash's origin; he just falls ass backwards into some powers. Aquaman's origin can be told in like a few lines of dialogue ("I'm the King of Atlantis"). Same with MM ("I'm the last Martian."). Cyborg's origin will likely be a b-plot in JLA. Green Lantern already had a movie. Granted, no one saw it, but even GL isn't that hard to explain.Yeah man, we need a two hours movie telling the audience who Batman is and then insert a 1 minute post-credits scene to build up a Cinematic Universe.

Speaking as one of the few Aquaman fans around these parts, I don't think anyone would be too torn up if Arthur had brown hair instead of blonde. We'd all probably be too giddy over Aquaman actually being in a movie. lol
Blond, shorter hair? Noooooo.
If there's a canonical way for Momoa to keep his trademark brown locks and play Aquaman, they need to do it.

How is it so challenging?
They introduced 7 superheroes in a 22 minute cartoon almost a decade ago with absolutely no problems.
It was called Justice League, and it was one of the best adaptations of the DC Universe that's ever been.
The idea that you need solo movies to explain something as basic and well-understood as the concept of a superhero is weird.
Which is why I said bearded and hook hand =P
im so happy you have this unwavering faith that wb will deliver a good movie! it's totally not hard, right?

well he's not writing this one so it's fine I suppose.
Nein.
Would be 9999999999999999999x hotter with short hair.
