Guys, I'm from Brazil and I'm going to Orlando next month. Is it still easy to find an old version OLED screen PS Vita? I mean new, unopened, at stores.

Yeah those won't be obsolete anytime soon. I see them at target, gamestop, best buy and you can always order them online too. Maybe they are not stocked in huge numbers but I'm sure you'll be alright next month in your search for one while you are visiting the US.

I asked because I can't find them online. Target.com, Gamestop.com, Bestbuy.com... It seems it's sold out everywhere. And to be honest, I prefer order it online. Do you know where I can find it online?

I seriously doubt you'll have any trouble finding a 1000 in stores.

Which is the better Atelier game among the two: Meruru or Totori? Planning to get Meruru on the sale tomorrow but I need some impressions.

Looks like Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is getting localized. It was just rated by the OFLC for Australia. Hopefully it includes both versions (and maybe PS4)?

I've heard Meruru spoils Totori so you should probably get Totori

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I already have Totori and I have somewhat played it but I want to know which of the two is the better game. Just wanna make sure it's worth it at that price.

Trying to decide what to pick up during the sale.

I'm definitely getting:

Armored Core: Verdict Day
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (I want to play Peace Walker before I jump into Ground Zeroes).

Tempted to get Tales of Symphonia and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, just so I don't have to open my CE of the latter. But if I get one of those then I won't have enough money for Daylight :/.

Getting my PS4 and 1 year of PS+ with it.

Any notable game that's free or that I should absolutely get?

I know there's already Resogun that I want badly, is it still free?

Yeah, Resogun is still free. I believe the other free game is Mercenary Kings (PS4 users get one free game a month + Resogun). I've heard good things about MK, but I've yet to dig into it myself.

Edit: Oh, oh, buy Octodad. That game is amazing.

So, I'm getting JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle tomorrow, and I ordered Tearaway yesterday. That means that I've already spent $35 in a couple days. From the sale, I'm interested in the following.

Vita
MGS HD Collection
Muramasa Rebirth
Ys: Memories of Celceta

PS3
MGS HD Collection
Devil May Cry HD Collection
SoulCalibur V
Zone of the Enders HD Collection
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles HD

Which of these do I have to get? As you can see above, I've already spent a good bit (and may also buy Kokonoe for Blazblue Chronophantasma) in a short time, so I only want the essential games that won't go on sale again anytime soon for this good of a price.

I would buy the games you haven't played before. If you haven't played any of them.. Well I have soul calibur and didn't like it all that much.

You're right, they aren't available online. But, honestly, I have seen them in person at those actual stores. Amazon.com for sure, has them for sale online, though. I really, really think though that once you arrive here in the states that you'll be able to find one in a store that sells electronics/video games. Very positive that for however long you'll be here, you can find one nearby where you'll be staying.

Don't buy ZoE HD since you can get a physical copy around that price.
Don't buy SC5 since I'm definitely making a group for it.

DMC HD has gone on sale a few time on PSN now, and physical copies aren't that much more expensive, either.

Symphonia Chronicles HD is the biggest outlier among those games you listed - it's a huge discount for a fairly recent niche game, and if you like the gameplay, you'd probably get a lot of hours out of it, being two RPGs and all.

MGS HD for $12 is not the worst price.

Resogun is still free. That and Infamous Second Son are really the only PS4 games that are almost universally liked around here.

Thanks for the infos guys!

I'll get Resogun for sure and I already have a copy of inFAMOUS coming in the mail, thanks to a fellow GAFer.

I just checked a couple of videos of Octodad on Gamersyde, that was fucked up and I had some good laughs... it kinda picked up my interest. Not sure if I'm willing to slam 13 bucks on it yet, though. How long is it?

As much as I am all for people buying the wonderful Muramasa and Vanillaware getting more money, please remember that it is in the IGC for Europe so the chances of it appearing in the IGC for North America are not low. Don't want to read a thread full of salty posts ;)

Yeah, think I'll wait on that. Looks like a great game though

I'll see what I can do about SCV (I want in, but idk if I'll be able to for sure).

Symphonia HD could be good, but I bought both Xillia and Vesperia and haven't touched them. Still may get it.

MGS could be okay, but on Vita that's 6 GB, right?

Also, what about the Vita games I named?

Ys Celceta is a must buy especially for $20. Muramasa Rebirth is also super cheap and has great DLC to boot. Tales of Symphonia and MGS HD for PS3 are also the cheapest i've ever seen anywhere.

You can find ZoE HD on Amazon for about 10-12$ any given day. DMC HD can also be found for around $15 at Amazon. So you if want you can skip out on these games and get them at a later time.

Also Kokonoe is OP and you should definately main her :P

Haven't finished it yet because I've been busy with other things, but apparently it's rather short. Roughly three hours according to Destructoid's review.

Eh. If you already have 100 hours of Tales games in the backlog, don't spend money on more of it.

MGS could be okay, but on Vita that's 6 GB, right?

The Vita version is a better deal relatively speaking (physical copies are expensive as hell now, while used PS3 HD Collection copies are pretty easy to find), but I don't know how you feel about not getting Peace Walker.

I found Ys Celceta to be pretty uninspiring when I played it - I don't sell games very often before I'm done playing them, and that was one of the instances, so I'm not all that enthusiastic about recommending it. $19 isn't bad, but it isn't mindblowing either.

Muramasa's price is excellent. The issue is that it showing up in the EU PS+ lineup is suggestive of it appearing over here soon. Given other games in the backlog, I'd hold off for now if you aren't burning to play it.

This is really good advice. I'll check footage of Ys later to see whether or not I'm interested, and I'll mull over how much I really want Muramasa or MGS.

Edit: wasn't MGS free for Europe too? that could be coming to US…

I don't understand this logic. $7.49 isn't that much money at all, and there's no guarantee that it'll ever be added to PS+. If you're even remotely interested in Muramasa, why wouldn't you buy the game on sale?

I think Totori is better, but keep in mind I only played 2/3 of Meruru.

As to why, it's been a while, so I unfortunately can't specify much as I simply don't remember, but I do recall liking the story in Totori better. Her motivations seem more genuine and will pull at your heart strings. Also, this may sound silly, but I found Meruru to be a more "girly" game, like with the male character designs and whatnot.

And Totori is awesome, which should be the only reason you need. :P

The reason I am buying Symphonia is because $10 is a crazy sale for a game that recent, and I don't see even a physical used copy approaching that price anytime soon. It kind of seems like if you want to play this game any time in the next few years, that's gonna be your best price. I mean, a used version of the Wii game (one of the two games you get) is still $20.

$7.50 can be a substantial amount of money, depending on one's financial situation. The probability that the game is going to be on sale at a similar price at some point in the indefinite future is rather high, so even if it doesn't show up as a PS+ game, there's no sense in spending money now to have it languish in the backlog.

$7.50 for a retail game that I plan on playing at some point is at impulse-buy territory for me. Deciding to wait just because of a possibility just doesn't make sense to me unless your financial situation is in a really bad place, in which case you should probably be trying to sell your game systems instead of thinking about buying new games.

Different strokes. Given a backlog, the disutility from not having the game purchased is going to be very low - if you've been itching to play it, then buy it, but if you're only mildly interested, there's always something else to play.

Incidentally, $7.50 would be the second-most I've paid for a game I finished this calendar year, and I've played through 31 of them already.

I guess so, that was my fault with the "remotely interested" wording.

The only backlog that I find completely unmanageable is my Steam backlog, which sits at 150+ unplayed games. I've only spent about $5 total on Steam games this year though.
