pCARS devs have no choice, they aim to create highend simulation game. 60fps is pretty much required for nextgen [WiiU will most likely be 720p30].
Project cars was announced 1080p / 30 on both xb1 and ps4 last week.

I stand corrected, my apologies BruiserBear. This what they said last year:
http://www.officialplaystationmagaz...py-with-30-frames-a-second-but-aiming-for-60/
It's funny how Wii U fans praised two 30fps racers (Sonic Transformed, NFS MWU) before Mario Kart and now 30fps is an unplayable slideshow for racers![]()
I was promised 1080p/60 was going to be the norm this gen![]()
How does a game play "better" at 60fps?
What, people really choose 1080p over 60FPS?
I'm not cool with that. I'd rather have 900p and 30FPS than 1080p and 30FPS
I'm sorry for your brains.

Haters gonna hate.
In the end nobody will skip the game because is 30fps or 45fps or 60fps. The only reason to skip if it is a shit game.
My opinion.
But let's complain!!!!!!!!
Link please? I missed this.Project cars was announced 1080p / 30 on both xb1 and ps4 last week.
was pgr2 30fps? that's the best console arcade racer of all time, and if it can manage that feat with 30fps, then driveclub will be alright.
Since it would theoretically cost you nothing to download it (Except bandwidth. Which shouldn't matter unless you're capped.) there's no deal to break for at least trying it. Saying/doing such a thing doesn't speak well for your openness if you won't even try it. But like you said, it's your decisionWhy bother downloading it? This is a deal breaker for me. If people don't mind that's fine, I don't care.
This is total bullshit and you know it. Nintendo fans have been praising Nintendo for making most of its franchises run at 60 FPS to ensure the best gameplay for over 20 years.

Okay, I've already been very wrong in this thread, but this seems impossible to me.Project cars was announced 1080p / 30 on both xb1 and ps4 last week.
Then when GT7 is shown it'll look better while being 1080p/60fps with more cars on the track.
Mario Kart 60FPS. DriveClub just 30.
They told me that I have the last-gen console but I don't see it.
I played SART at 60fps. Like everyone else did. The console versions of SART are shit.
I hope this is a joke.Project cars was announced 1080p / 30 on both xb1 and ps4 last week.
How does a game play "better" at 60fps?
It runs and looks smoother, but that's about it for me...so do elaborate on the better part.
What's so better about it?
I believe it was 60.Anyone recall what fps RalliSport Challenge was on xbox? I played the hell out of that game. I seem to be a 60fps snob lately but if that was 30 then I'm good.

I played SART at 60fps. Like everyone else did on PC. The console versions of SART are shit.
Meanwhile nearly every fucking Nintendo game runs at 60. Mario Kart will be no different.
What point are you trying to make.
Haters gonna hate.

I just meant that it isn't weird for a racing game to not be 60fps.
We want to push the boundaries on PS4 with the visual detail in DRIVECLUB, so we’ve now locked the game to a rock solid 30fps. Doing so means that we don’t compromise on the staggering native 1080p visual quality or the seamlessly networked connectivity while you race.
Eh, to be fair, arcade racers need 60FPS. Maybe more than simulations.

Everyone else? I only played the WiiU version, and it was bad due to boats and planes, not due to FPS.
Okay, I've already been very wrong in this thread, but this seems impossible to me.
It's a Morpheus game even.
Are the visuals really considered to be the most important part of a racing game these days? How many frames of input lag are people willing to eat over that?Rock solid 30fps with amazing visuals > Inconsistent or so-so visuals at 60fps.
I have a gaming PC so I get both, but for consoles that's how I like it.
More effects > 60fps. All day.
Then when GT7 is shown it'll look better while being 1080p/60fps with more cars on the track.
So I'm just imagining Wii U GAF praising the fuck out of Sonic Transformed and NFS MWU when the system had no games? Whatever helps you sleep at night noob.
