The rumors pointing to this being a spiritual successor with very different gameplay makes a lot of sense in that regard.

If this is in fact Demon's Souls 2 then Sony owns the IP and nobody should be shocked or upset.

It's just a name, though. We already got Demons soul 2 with Dark Souls. Heck, it even had a character make the jump between them.

It's hard to judge from these screens but graphically it doesn't look bad. Sure it's nothing outstanding for PS4 levels but it doesn't look as bland as Dark Souls 2 in terms of graphics.

Based on some of the stuff (the mention of a large Mind Flayer), I think this takes place in Boletaria, but do the presence of a possible gun, no doubt some time has passed.

DemonNite = Sony (well PlayStation) as far as gaf is concerned.

You obviously didn't heard about him then. He's supposed to work at Sony and is one of the most knowledgable insiders, but he rarely spills some concrete infos.

Screens look sort of like you'd expect a next gen Dark Souls spiritual successor would look like. Though I enjoy Dark Souls I really do struggle with the difficulty (lol) but I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Aside from the blurriness and macroblocking because of the source, I think the door's fog, the polygons (specifically the graves), and the overall level of detail looks better.
