Imagine this and Last Guardian being revealed at E3 this year. GAF would not recover for days.
So what is happening with Shadow of the Beast? I thought that had a Souls vibe to it with the massive boss enemy in that pic.
Lots of games have big enemies lol. That boss looks nothing like a Souls boss.

I've been on record vehemently criticizing the Souls games dating back from DS1 and DS2. I did mildly enjoy Demons Souls but I do believe they need to expand on the ideas and this already looks far more compelling on a few of the screens than anything from the DeS, DS1, and DS2.
And it's from the man himself. It's pretty exciting even if I'm not as sold based on the past games.

It's a beautiful thought.
And while the screenshots certainly have an aesthetic appeal even with the horrible compression, they don't hint at a game that should be overly taxing to the PS4. "The first 60 FPS Souls on consoles" would be an amazing selling point.

Nobody should like games being exclusive to particular platforms. I don't. However, because consoles are owned by companies that also develop software, sometimes games will be exclusive to one console. There's literally no way to change this, so outrage and claims about "i won't support this or that!" are 100% pointless. Save your outrage for games that would have been multiplatform being locked up on a single platform, to nobody's benefit except the platform holder. Those detract from the industry instead of adding to it. If the game is co-funded or co-developed by a platform holder, you have to just suck it up.

Shadow of the Beast might be a small 2.5D game. I also hope to see it at E3.

Errr... Pretty sure Shadow Of the Beast is an old PS1 IP which pre-dates GoW.
Um...the Dark Souls games are still great, WTF are you talking about? What they did to those games has nothing to do with this game as they are getting help from Sony's Japan studio.

All joshing aside, dont let these things get to you. Its just games. It must be tough to be a single console owner but thats how the gaming industry has ALWAYS been. I want to play Mario Kart 8 but I dont want to buy a WiiU. So I will deal with it not complain. Its my choice but honestly i feel my bro will buy it so win for me

It's just the project name, the final game could be called Bodega Souls for all we know

I don't really understand anyone who is genuinely *happy* for a PS4 exclusive, but to not be particularly bothered by it is the most rational reaction.

I wish it was slated for this year... I just don't know what Sony has for November / December...
Dark Souls 2 has a blacksmith who's very similar(almost identical) to Demon Souls' Burrow King archstone.Yet this has no real bearing on the game.

Dark Souls is a game I bought on Steam and couldn't get acclimated with how clunky it controlled and quickly lost me. I did play a decent chunk of it with some help from a friend. I also never beat Demons Souls but I do recall being more taken by that than DS1. DS2 doesn't interest me in the slightest at full price unfortunately and I really think it needs an overhaul.
That's why this looks potentially exciting.
Maybe it's that it looks slightly more open and certain scenes like the ones with the mobs and their torches hit me the right way.
Crossed my mind too, no shame in your asking.

Yeah. The original trailer kind of hints at this.
And at the same time I could say I'd be happier if it went PC exclusive so it didn't have to be held back by consoles, but I'm not some spiteful person who wants exclusive only so other people have to buy the shitbox I use.
I'm not even that mad at the existence of this, I honestly wouldn't care about it being exclusive if DaS2 hadn't been made. The announcement of this just makes DaS2 look like even more of a cashgrab with no thought put into it than it already did.

What? Bitter much? Worst thing that can happen is that you *have* to get a console.
Trust me it isn't that bad, I've gotten 10+ of them if you include handhelds because companies made exclusives. It really isn't that bad....well thats a lie it's effing horrible to manage your time for both gaming, work and life.
