Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. |OT| Tahiti is a Magical Place (to...Hey guys, I found it!)

Just to clarify with respect to Coulson & Co's actions in the Tahiti facility - if you're going to discuss it in good faith, there isn't a problem. I do think it's been argued to death at this point, so please be sure that you're bringing something new to the table rather than running around in circles arguing the same points ad infinitum. In addition, the usual bad posting habits of trolling, deliberately trying to derail the thread, insulting other posters, backseat modding, and complaining about moderation will be dealt with appropriately. Hope that's clear, and if anyone has questions about this, please feel free to send me a PM.

The show's been on an upswing recently, and there's certainly a lot to discuss beyond a single incident that happened a while back.

Do you not believe the revelation at the end of this weeks episode paint the TAHITI raid in a new light? Coulson murdering his own people seems worthy of discussion.

They keep coming back to Tahiti, it is a very important place in their lore so I think it is logical we keep coming back to it.

Again, if you're going to make a genuine attempt discuss it, which most people are, I don't think it's a problem at all.

I wonder if Garrett was Hydra back then, since I seriously doubt shield would attempt a prison break like that.

Well, at one point Garrett switched sides, if I remember one of the uprising episodes correctly. He said something about seeing the winds of change?

We dont even know if they were really his own people, that is pure speculation. All we know is that Fury had Shield people working on this off the books, that does not mean that those guards were also SHIELD. Even so Coulson made the right call in that episode and people need to get over it. He repeatedly pleaded with them, and they showed no concern at all for the very fact that it was obviously SHIELD coming in, or for the well being of the injured.

Could they have used the stun guns? Maybe, maybe not (in taking a military facility of unknown capabilities, you would always want a conventional fire arm for the penetrating ability and stopping power).

But if those guards were really SHIELD, they were also complete morons for not at least attempting to ascertain the validity of the situation. Had the situation been reversed, Coulson and his team would have tried to understand the situation, not just shoot to kill. o not forget that it was Ward and Garette that did the killing, Coulson wanted to give them medical attention after they were down, there is no redemption arc necessary for him, he did nothing wrong and tried his best to defuse the situation given the circumstances.

Attack sloppy writing if you want (stun guns not being brought) but Coulson did nothing wrong and intended to try and save the guards lives.

Keep in mind, re lethal force, these guards were of unknown training (presumably quite good) and were shooting at the team with fully automatic assault rifles.

I wish someone would nail Hand. Sad to see her go.

She always looked really doofy with the glasses they gave her.

And the acting. They are actually putting some effort in it!

Edit: lol @ that picture. Poor goons.

I have to agree agent of shield went up in quality and that's excellent.
Now they just have to nail the season finale , and all the "average episodes early in the season " will be forgotten.

Agent of shield needed ennemies you care about , or you care to see them on screen with a dose of mystery. Right now , the show is exactly what i need.

I CARE

argument is null and void with at least one person caring

you're all heartless

imagine coming into work one day and getting a bullet to the FACE by your normally chippy and friendly boss

anyway, is anyone getting the vibe Coulson has a thing for Skye?

This, and also don't forget that it happened immediately after they raided the mansion Quinn was in, where they used A LOT of Night-Night ammo which is obviously not mass-produced and means it's VERY likely they had none left for the facility (being distressed with Skye's health condition and spending the night waiting outside the OR meant they didn't really had time to prep any).

:lol XD

It's cool but I have to ask: why is the trousers going underneath the robotic leg?

Good observation. That doesn't make sense, unless he gets dressed and then they put the leg on. I don't know why it wouldn't be on almost all of the time though.

I kind of fudged it and had it bunched up there. Realistically on the show, they'd still probably only show it that high on the leg when he attaches it. Even in their own concept art, the pants just sort of cut off there lol.

Only in that he's kind of like her dad.

So many of the actors have improved over the course of the season (and quite noticeably recently) if only because they are now being given texture to their characters to work with as oppose to just having he deliver exposition for whatever monster of the week they are solving this go around.

When May was first revealed to be reporting to Fury I really wanted her to be killed and off the team, but even she is evolving and getting some depth!

edit: That clip is gold.

I liked the cheesy product placement. More fitting here than Francise asking about the PS Vita in House of Cards.

Actually yes, the latest episode makes it clear that Fitz manufactures the rounds on site, so it is feasible that they even did not have any due to the rampant use in the episode with Quinn and then the quick turnaround time to where they raided the facility.

There's like no way that's the actual endgame there, it'd be too creepy.
But something obviously is there and probably ties into their shared Chinese backgrounds.
