RUMOR: Project Beast (From Software/Sony Japan Studio, PS4) [Port begging = ban]

Absolutely stunned at this post.

Sony OBVIOUSLY believed in them having co-produced DeSo to completion. Sony is a huge reason the Souls series exists in the first place, you don't even appreciate that aspect of their contribution to the series? Yes SCEA did not publish the game in America because they were not sure how viable it was (a decision they regret to this day) but Sony HQ had faith enough to finance the game.

People need to stop getting upset at exclusives. I really want to play Bayonetta 2, and yes I'm going to have to buy a WiiU to play one. This is how exclusives work. They are designed to make purchasing a console a more attractive decision.
 
This is sad man. Why are people upset that Sony is helping a game get made? This is something great about the games industry! A big company like Sony can help achieve the vision of a smaller one like FROM. That is just sad fanboy drivel. I don't care if it's MS funding titan fall, Sony beast, or Nintendo beyo 2. I'm just glad devs get to make games. If you are displeased by games being made then you shouldn't be on a forum about them in the first place.

They finally got approval to comment on the rumors as long as they don't break nda on what they really know?

Microsoft didn't fund Titanfall, they paid for it to not be on Playstation.

The Souls series started on PS3. That's where the biggest audience is. It only makes sense for this game to be exclusive. Can't let Microsoft money hat everything. Besides, sakes shouldn't be an issue here. PS4 is selling extremely well. This should give Sony leverage to secure more exclusives in the future.

Not true. That's been disproved about a hundred times on this sight.

Anyway I'm not a huge DS fan but I'm willing to give it another shot. Hopefully there's more of a story to this one.

I have no problem with Sony co-developing this game, but I understand where people are coming from. The Souls franchise has extended into a really successful xbox and PC franchise since Demon's Souls.
 
That looks FANTASTIC! I am really hoping this is a real thing that is happening. I also hope that if it is that it will shock me with its innovation like Demon's Souls did. Utter brilliance.

Do we even know how or why its been determined that, if this is real, its being worked on by Sony? Was there more info later in the thread, or something?

Glad to see console wars are alive and well....and as its been said many times in this thread Demon Souls looked liked shit when it was first presented to Sony, and that a lot changed by the time it reached final code.
 
It's funny, back when Dark Souls 2 was first announced, they said how different times would affect the world more (not sure what happened to this), and one guy thought of Solaire as an english hunter with a shotgun.

Now it may actually happen.

Honestly out of the three souls games it's the best. It's the most well paced, has well thought out systems, the best environments of any souls game, best lore, best art design, and the best bosses.

The only thing it doesn't have is a ~metroidvania~ environment but neither does the majority of Dark Souls.

Seriously, what kind of post is this? Some people maybe just started with Dark Souls because they only have a 360/PC.

Didn't realize that if you miss one game in a series you can't be a fan.

A true fan of the series would buy a PS3 for Demons.

Faux fans can skip Beast and Demons.
