The yearly cycle probably held it back more than anything. The Show wasn't a visual powerhouse on the PS3 until the 2nd or 3rd iteration.

I'm not at home, I got the first part (where the game is playable) done, but is there no way to tell if it's downloading the rest? No status or anything? I keep going to the store and saying "download to PS4", it goes to the queue and says "Waiting..." then it changes to "Playable" and eventually leaves the queue. My internet is only 15Mbps so there's no way the whole thing is done...

First part is downloaded. However, I think you still have to manually press install on the 214MB file. To initiate full download.
My copy is currently downloading all teams. Total Progress at 22 percent.
Its gonna be awhile.

Well what is everyone talking about on OS' forums?
They're saying they're waiting for his roster tomorrow...maybe it's just an update to fix things?
Can I do that with the phone app/the web store?

No idea. I dont even know how to que from the App Store, myself.
I think you're gonna have to finish it at home. Because the initial load screen took like 5 minutes. Then the in game menu has a total progress bar.

Just had a perfect game going with Lester going into the 7th inning. Of course announcer jinxed it and the dodgers tied up the game 3-3 that same inning. Ended up winning 6-3 as aj perzynski hit a 3 run bomb over the monster with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. 17ks for lester as well. Im digging the quick count deal, but man it makes pitching easier. Oh and the arm in the air running down first and team celebration at home plate was epic!

As someone that has mainly played RttS for years, I usually find SS, CF and RF (to have chances of throwing runners out) the most fun.
Knight is going through the roster again and making some edits just for the PS4 version. These edits will be available tomorrow is what I read and that's what everyone is talking about.
I'm sure the PS3 OSFM roster that's available now is fine but one extra day for some bonus edits is worth waiting for IMO.

ARGH Gamefly didn't ship copies until this afternoon. I hope I get it thursday as I work friday and all weekend long ass hours. Haven't played a baseball game in years so wanted to try it first. I fell outta love with them even though as a kid i'd play seasons on seasons. Last baseball game I actually liked was The Bigs....

has any of you try the vita RTTS save to ps4? is there specifically a cross save slot, or how do you do it.
Just bought it off the US store. Saving me around 20 dollar.

I am not sure how it works but they should have the player choose their fav team and them put them into a game in their favorite team's stadium against their rival while the game installs. That could work right?

Play as you download is a neat feature, but they really should've waited until there's at least one stadium downloaded before it lets you boot up the game. Or at the very least some generic location where you can at least get some swings in.

It should be background downloading now. It took 5.5gigs to get it playable, then you had to hit Options on the live menu and go to "Information" and it showed the download status for me. No way to check it remotely unless you can use remote play from your Vita (what I did).

Seems pretty inconsistent in terms of visuals. PS3 version held it back?
These pics seem to imply a "photo mode" similar to Second Son's. "Record Movie" and "Depth of Field" buttons are intriguing. Excited to check this out...

Seriously? I think I've been living under a rock then. I probably put more hours into MLB every year than any other game and I've never seen them, haha.
If that's the case though, hopefully it'll be easy to make highlight-reel style videos with these modes and share factory combined. Can't wait to check it out.

Am I blind or are there no video options in this game? I've got a small black border around my screen. I don't even see an option to adjust brightness
It's not just edits for PS4, but re-rating players, adding in players etc. Various mistakes that weren't caught or just difference of opinion for player ratings. For instance I did the Cubs this year and I messed up Jorge Soler's age, that'll be fixed in the next update. People pick through the first OSFM release ever year for any tiny thing they can find, legitimate mistakes like putting a player at an incorrect position, or the wrong audio name. But often its differences in opinions "So and so should be rated higher...he's on my favorite team so fix that."
I don't think many people who play the show really dig in and get how players progress. For example since a player with a potential of 82 progresses slower than a player with 95 potential you can have cases where that 82 player has a higher starting overall rating than the 95 player. But over time the 95 player will progress well beyond that 82 player. But often the comments are "Blank is only rate a 68, while Blank is rate 71, that's bullshit!"
For PS4 its mostly just hair changes as one beard on PS3 might look just look a bit scruffy, but on PS4 its full on mountain man. Maybe if people notice that a minor league player has a Japanese-style or slap-style swing they can tell Knight to change the batting stance for that player.
Probably the cheapest way although PS3 version was a very reasonable price at EU PSN Store. 45 IRC.

Did the roster update and for some reason Nelson Cruz was a free agent. I feel like a cheater (no steroid reference) but he's my new RF against lefties and DH against righties.
