did you finish installing the game to the harddrive? might be the reason for the hitchy framerate during cutscenes.
Nope, it has been confirmed. Gameplay is 60, the cutscenes are choppy.

I think my expectations for this game were too high. Maybe because I remember the game blowing me away when i first played it on ps3.
Still, can't believe the online is still broken. What a fucking joke that is. We're paying for online play, it should atleast work in a first party game.
Is there a review thread? I haven't seen any reviews for the PS4 version today. On the fence about this game, hearing long load times and poor frame rates.
Yes, MLB 14 The Show looks better on the PlayStation 4 than it does on the PlayStation 3, but it’s not exactly an earth-shattering difference. Honestly, part of the problem is that The Show on the PS3 has always been a great-looking series. It’s kind of hard to really notice a big difference. Sure, little things will stand out, like the way uniforms realistically move and the greater variety in the models that make up the crowds, but you won’t experience that elusive next-gen wow factor.
In fact, some things look a bit wonky, especially beards. While the short, trimmed ones look fine, full beards look weird and unrealistic. It’s like someone sculpted them out of clay. Also, some of the background elements can look cheap, especially flat, low-res pictures of still cars that awkwardly move around a distant highway.
Again, I’m not saying that MLB 14 The Show is a bad-looking game. It just isn’t the photo-realistic upgrade some were hoping for.
That's a damn shame. I usually play with the cutaways off anyway so it'll be fine for me but sucks for those who like them on.Yes I did, the framerate during cutscenes is just bad
Yeah because all online games work day 1. Or first month for that matter.
Have you heard of battlefield...
Generally, yes, online works in games on day 1.
The waiting game sucks, let's play Battlefield 4...

You can't wait a few hours for your game even though they said it'd be up at 12 AM EST? Grace Chen has a life too you know! The entitlement in this thread is astounding! /sPeople are buying digital everyday since November. Why is this first party game 12 hours late?
When the devs call it broken, it's broken. Spin that however you'd like.Yeah because all online games work day 1. Or first month for that matter.

Yep, it's finally on the store gentlemen. 40.2 Gigs, it's about fucking time.
So I haven't played a baseball video game in quite a while.
Do you still hold the direction you want to hit the ball or is it all timing based now?

Depends on the control style you chose, you can have both.
I have read a few pages of this thread and from the sound of it, MLB The Show is a huge disappoinent. Onlines busted, cars in the distance on bridges look like crap, beards look like they're made out of clay, choppy cut scenes, etc. Then you get into the actual "game" and you find it's the best, most complete, baseball experience to be had right now. Maybe ever. Can't we cut it just a little bit of slack to get some kinks ironed out? I have this game sitting at home waiting for me to play it for the first time and you all are seriously bringing me down.
Good to know, that's how I prefer it. Thanks. You can't steer the ball though, as a RH batter if you're early the ball will go to the left side and if you're late up the middle or to the right side.

How the fuck do I download it? See it as purchased in the store but see no option to download...
Should I be concerned that my Ps4 says the download is 6gb? Canceled and retried and still says the same thing...
As far as I know the 6b is for an exhibtion match you can play while the PS4 downloads the remaning ~40GB.
