But psychic types killed everything back then anyways
Meh, I stomped everything with a Raticate and Bodyslam back then

Agreed. And honestly who needs coverage when you have Gen 1 psychic types anyways?I vastly prefer coverage-mania to 90% of the dex having shit movesets. It keeps you on your toes and reminds you that type advantage isn't everything.
I'm pretty convinced BW2 is on par with or better than every other Pokemon game in every way (including music). Not only does it have what I would call redeeming aspects for what the series lacks, it's an excellent execution of the formula with a lot of polish. Well, I'm not talking about multiplayer, but then I'd assume it would just be second best there. I actually didn't like BW much actually.
Also this thread is list-wars as fuck.
Even though the old games defined the nostalgia. Being able to get that feeling from any of the games now, I think I would agree with this.
I can't disagree with you. If anyone ever ask which game of the series that I would recommend it would always be the BW series.I'm pretty convinced BW2 is on par with or better than every other Pokemon game in every way (including music). I agree mostly. I like Platinum better because it doesn't feel as face-rolling easy, but BW2 are my second-favorite. I love how you actually have some real diversity in how you can build your team from the very start of the game, something that was woefully absent until then.I'm pretty convinced BW2 is on par with or better than every other Pokemon game in every way (including music). I agree with your ranking, but I just put Ghetsis on the top for A. Being the actual final boss, B. Having a kickass fight, and C. Having a motive that wasn't idiotic. So another ranking: Villains
I'd say
Ghetsis>Giovanni>Cyrus>Lysander>Archie/Maxie>Gen 2 team rocket execs
B2W2's biggest problem is you never feel like you accomplish anything, You're just living in the protagonist of BW's shadow the whole time. GSC didn't have this problem because at the end you fight Red and finally get out of his shadow, but in B2W2 you never fight Hilda/Hilbert. Hell, even taking down Ghetsis is more N's doing than yours. It's really weird too, because it feels less like you're helping stop Ghetsis from taking over the world at the end, and more like you stumbled upon an awkward father-son argument that you're just waiting to squirm your way out of.
Just want to mention that the vast team options was the single greatest thing that X/Y had. It was simply amazing the amount of pokemon availableI agree mostly. Yeah. I mostly put Lysander above them because he was definitely the most extreme villain considering his plans included Pokemon genocide, but his motives were definitely awful.I agree mostly. Actually, I might put Lysandre below Archie and Maxie. At least Maxie had an understandable motive with all that surfing.
Well, maybe the story suffers in a comparison to the original, but I felt more accomplished actually winning major fights with challenge mode on than I have with series since I was like 10.
I wouldn't mind more antagonist rivals; assholes who pop up at the worst times. Then again, if I had it my way, I would pull off some crazy shit to ruin the player's day.

I really hope they make Steven the champion for this. Wallace was a way lamer champion. Anyways, I wouldn't expect the elite 4 to have a mega, but I fully expect every champion from after X and Y to use mega evos for their signature pokemon. For this game that'd mean making Mega Metagross for Steven, and possibly Mega Milotic if Wallace is champion againYeah! Give everyone in the Elite 4 a poke with a mega evo
Sidney: Mega Absol/Mega Gyarados
Phoebe: Mega Banette/ Mega Gengar
Glacia: Mega Abomasnow
Drake: Mega Garchomp/Mega Ampharos
Wallace: Mega Kyogre

Do people want Wallace over Steven?
I fully expect Steven to be the one who gives player's a mega ring. And for him to have a mega. Preferably Mega Metagross as a new mega rather than Mega Aggron. I mean, collecting rare stones is his thing so it's a perfect fit IMOSteven's a lot cooler just wandering around and committing random acts of awesome while being fabulously wealthy.
He's like PokéBatman.
Using a rearranged Gen 1 track is cheating, man.

I really hope they implement 3D models for the trainers. That was one of my gripes in XY (well, more the fact that some did, most didn't). I'd like to see more Megas, but I dunno how likely that is beyond maybe the box legends. If they are Megas, I'm not sure whether XY would need a patch or if they'd simply be banned from online battles with the games.
Honestly now that's it's all but confirmed that Kyogre and Groudon are getting some type of new form be it a mega or not, I don't think arguments about compatibility are valid at all
How did cross multiplayer work between origin Giratina and a Diamond game?Honestly now that's it's all but confirmed that Kyogre and Groudon are getting some type of new form be it a mega or not, I don't think arguments about compatibility are valid at all
I always found it weird how Double Battles were a big part of Gen 3 but there were no Double Battles during the Elite 4. As a kid, I thought there would be so I always had my two strongest pokemon in the first 2 party slots lol.
Lol I was always so bad with this... The item would just be removed if you entered wifi. Rotom forms were similar and just reverted back to the normal formHow did cross multiplayer work between origin Giratina and a Diamond game?
Your list is nearly perfect bug it lacks this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVJ...track.[/QUOTE] Wow. Yeah nvm gen 3 is tops
But they made it better![]()
Well, I'm more wondering how they'll handle it. Iirc, the new forms added in Platinum and BW2 weren't compatible with DP/BW, but we have the ability to patch now. I just don't know if it's something Game Freak would do. If you're going to give a patch for the new guys, why not patch in new megas, moves, abilities, items etc??
EDIT: I guess if it's a remake, there's not going to be trainer customization, either. At least, not much.

No rse ending theme guys? It is the best ending theme in the series.

A compatibility patch probably wouldn't be too much to ask for but who knows. There's already a lot of Gen 3 Megas and both Latis hiding in the code, so they might just call it a day with that and leave the new forms exclusive to the remakes.
Also I'd be very surprised if there's no customization. HG/SS were very liberal in what they modified to keep it up to par with the rest of Gen IV (unlike FR/LG which tried too hard to be the same game). Customization was one of their most advertised features for Gen VI, gutting it would look strange.

I dunno, though, I kind of feel it'd be shitty to lock of Megas to the new games, though. They've never introduced exclusive forms in remakes before. Who knows what they'll do?
Reorchestrated is fantastic. If the Aqua/Magma boss theme hits anywhere near this level of quality, I'll be ecstatic.I want the remakes to sound like this

I feel like they're much more likely to add mega metagross or mega milotic than give wallace and steven mega gyarados or mega aggron. Metagross has always been Steven's signature pokemon and it'd be weird to give his mega evo to anything else. Similar case for Wallace and MiloticWell in the last two Gens, the E4 had 4 Pokes but in Gen III they had 5. I'll do 5.
Sidney: Shiftry, Sharpedo, Krookodile (desert region in Hoenn), Cacturne, Mega-Absol
Phoebe: Sableye, Dusknoir, Jellicent (underwater areas), Gengar, Mega-Banette
Glacia: Glalie, Froslass, Walrein, Avalugg (Wynaut), Mega-Abomasnow
Drake: Altaria, Flygon, Salamence, Kingdra, Mega-Garchomp/Mega Charizard X
Wallace (if it's Wallace): Wailord, Ludicolo, Milotic, Whiscash, Hunatil/Gorbyss,Mega-Gyarados
Steven (If it's Stephen): Metagross, Cradily, Armaldo, Magnezone, Mawile, Mega-Aggron

That's true. We'll have to wait and see.
