If they do it properly, the Infinity Gauntlet will be Thanos vs literally every single character ever established, across all properties. Even some villains if they're those that would play ball temporarily against a greater enemy.
Do...do you guys think that having the Infinity Gauntlet ripping through multiple realities would be the perfect excuse to have Spidey and the X-Men crossover?
Like, that would be the only plausible time where a crossover amongst all these properties would make sense.

That one-shot was like a million times better than anything the show has done. That is on the strength of her acting alone. But that time period and possible supporting cast doesn't hurt either.

Yeah it does seem that way, pretty disgusting when any discussion about something that features a woman becomes all about her looks instead of the actual subject.
Really looking forward to this, it will be good to get a period piece show and i really enjoyed her character in Cap 1.
And Agent Carter too? Wow! I don't know though, I mean, are they going to have enough material to do an Agent Carter show? Is it going to be just her pretty much taking on leftover Nazi's every episode? Because HYDRA didn't "officially" rear it's heads again in this universe until CA: Winter Soldier.

What they'll be facing? Probably some Russian Cold War stuff. But its going to be about the birth of SHIELD mostly. With Hydra obviously playing a role in its birth.

Fury is a big part of the latest event. Original Sin. From the single issue relrased so far its entertaining enough. Fury has a great story about WW II in it.

The rumors circulating a few weeks ago were that Agent Carter would run one season, in Agents of SHIELD's time slot, during an extended break between the first and second halves of the season.
I still don't know how that came about. I started reading again at Marvel Now so I missed the explanation.
I guess they both still exist in canon and Fury Jr. is just a field agent rather than Director. What's Old Fury up to now? Hill is director again now right?
1) Samuel L. Jackson co-stars in XXX as director of a secret intelligence agency in 2002.
2) Later that year Ultimate Nick Fury is remodeled after Samuel L. Jackson.
3) Samuel L. Jackson is cast in the Avengers as Nick Fury.
4) Primary Marvel continuity is retro-fitted to reflect the MCU and the Ultimate universe.

Yeah I know how Marvel ended up doing it but I'm still confused on what the in-universe explanation for it is and what Fury Sr.'s position is currently.

The Ultimate universe and cinematic universes both had SLJ style Nick Fury. 616 (original Marvel) had old school Nick.
A couple of years ago, Marvel put out a mini series called Battle Scars, starring two special forces commandos... Marcus Johnson, and his best friend and platoon mate, nicknamed "Cheese":
In it, they're over in the middle east fighting wars and stuff, and then they get the news that Marcus' mother (a retired CIA operative) was killed, back home. So they go home to investigate, and a bunch of stuff happens, and as it turns out...
Marcus finds out who his father was. You guessed it: Nick Fury. In fact, he never knew that Nick and Marcus' mom named him Nick Fury Jr at birth. After the mystery is solved and a whole bunch of crazy fighting, Marcus starts going by his real name. Nick Fury Jr. Also, he loses an eye during all the shit that goes down in the story. He also joins SHIELD, and it's a pretty safe bet he'll become director at some point in the future. Oh also, Cheese joined SHIELD too. His real name is
Yeah I cringed when she had the "red in my ledger" talk with Otto in Superior Spider-Man, but I'm blaming Dan Slott for it. In at least two of her appearances, she just pulls lines straight out of the Avengers movie.
Retiring the old Fury is kinda weird to me. They didn't really have any reason to do it other than to line it up with the movies.
