I love the Vita more than all those clowns at SCEA + Capcom combined

Nice. I have the exact same wallpaper on my Vita as the top one.

An amazing Amano painting depicting my favorite character from my favorite FF game.

but it's a well known fact that SCEA is run by Satan himself when it comes to the bs wita

Is that an Oreimo reference?

Yup, that's an Oreimo reference.

The series gave me a good laugh until it got weird.

What? I think Vita's browser is quite competent. It's slightly slower than the one in my tablet (Nexus 2012) but for the little use I'd give it I think they've done quite a good job.

Well I don't know it's rather slow (but that I can live with) and a lot of time it reloads the page before even finishing loading it completely, meaning it's annoying as fuck and sometimes I can never see the page as it reloads in a loop.
That and if I want to use gamefaqs while playing a game, it's a pain since everytime I'm going back to the browser page it will reload it and I have to scroll back to where I was. If the browser can even load the page, that is.

Maybe it's better when you don't have a game playing in the background, but I have no use for it in that case :s

Think I'm going to transition to all digital on my Vita. That means 64gb card eventually. It's doubtful I rebuy any physical game I have digitally unless the discount is really steep. Even then a few of them I wouldn't even bother with. I have a ton of PS+ content that I'm not playing because I don't feel like downloading stuff. Plus it's just so much easier to buy something and download it instead of getting it shipped or even worse going to a store. I find stores have awful selections.

I will miss the pretty boxes that I shove into a drawer never to be seen again but I will manage.

Hey, at least the light novel was brave enough to avoid "she's not my real sister" cop-out :P

That thread was absolutely brutal. I honestly think that Aeana was pissed off there.

I have a hybrid approach. Just bought a 64GB card, but I think I'll still buy the occasional physical game based on size mostly. Eg MGS and P4G I bought physically as they take up a ton of space, so by having those on a card, it effectively gives me a 68GB Vita as it is freeing up space for other things.

If a thread involves race or gender I tend to just keep away. Had a couple of good discussions but often turns into a minefield.

Only read the first couple pages of that thread and it's already a graveyard.

Quite a few threads lately on gender or sexuality turned into graveyards.

I find that being 100% accepting of everyone is normally a safe thing.

Also on the subject of hybrid vs. full digital, I have considered buying something like Borderlands 2 physical because with the DLC it's a ton of space on a card and I probably won't be able to upgrade until August or September.

While playing P4G I had a sidequest guide and it's true that sometimes it reloaded the page. I guess with bigger walls of text it'd really be a problem.

Still I think it's the best browser I've seen in a gaming device to date. I haven't tried any 8th Gen homeconsole though.

I try to pretend the series ended when he got together with Kuroneko. As someone with a younger sister about the same age difference as Kyosuke and Kirino, the real ending is just to weird for me to deal with. Liked it up until that point though.

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but are there any actually useful Vita apps that are not games? Like, a PDF reader for downloading guides that can be opened with a game, or any other apps that randomly turned out good? The store doesn't make it easy to know if there is anything good, and most of the stuff I have tried has been hampered by system limitations, such as Wake Up Club not working from sleep mode.

Wait... how is Phantasy Star Online 2 import friendly? Isnt there a lot of text and requires an online account?

I want to say that from a podcast I listened to a while back, that there was a full english version released for one of the Asian regions, but I am not 100% on it. I remember the host of the podcast complaining that it should get a US release because all of the translation ws already done. Not sure about the account issue though.

PC Version only. I am actually playing on the Closed Beta right now.

My thoughts as well. Though if in fact an English translation does exist in any form, it makes it more likely that we could see an English Vita version. Hey, I can always hope right?

Was gonna ask if anyone had some good beginner's info or guides for Soul Sacrifice, but I just found ZeroAKA's OT and it looks to have some useful links so I'll check that out first. This game certainly doesn't make itself easy to understand for someone just picking it up. Like "save an enemy for life, sacrifice for magic! Wondering if you should stick to one or the other or go for a one and one balanced strategy? Who knows figure it out!".

Completely agree. The series should have ended right there. But it was doomed from the beginning. The imouto fever just gets the best out of a lot of anime series nowadays. #teamkuroneko

As for apps, the only ones I use on my Vita are YouTube, Crunchyroll and the browser to read guides. Although lately I prefer to avoid using the browser as to prevent any pixel burning due to that persistent black bar at the right of the screen.

I made the same transition last year but I ended up changing back to physical .

Only for games that are exclusive or I don't have a copy of somewhere else though. So demon gaze, muramasa, etc = hardcopy, but borderlands 2, ninja gaiden sigma, etc = digital. I started thinking and I realized the psn store won't be up forever and I want to be able to play those exclusive games in the future .

Well, I hope saving/restoring PC backups should work even after the store goes down. But I see where you're coming from.

When does Sony update the PS+ titles? I just PS+ (and recently got a PS4 and Vita) and was wondering. Is it every month?

Why are Surge Deluxe and PixelJunk Monsters still not free for me? I thought they were supposed to be on the IGC this month.

PixelJunk Monsters is showing as free for me for NA account at this link. It was an April IGC game so it might not be free anymore? It became free on 4/22 so you should have until 5/22 to "purchase" it based on past trends.

Surge Deluxe is a May IGC game so either tomorrow or one of the other tuesdays in May, first tuesday of the month is always PS3/PS4 and no vita games. According to PS+ Blog, tomorrow is Skullgirls so gotta wait a bit longer for Surge Deluxe.

There is a new selection of games every month, but they become free randomly during each Tuesday store update. For example, May 6th PES 2014 for PS3 and Stick it to the Man for PS4 became free, this Tuesday May 12th Skullgirls Encore is free and presumably on the 13th and 20th Limbo and Surge Deluxe will be made available. I am pretty sure games are free on the IGC for 4 weeks after they are put on (so Skullgirls would be free till the second week of June while PES2014 would leave the first week) except for the yearly games which change whenever Sony feels like it.

Above is a handy list of when games were added and when they were removed if you want a better idea, for NA region at least. But yea, you will know what games are going to be free in the coming month towards the end of each month, but their rollout is gradual.

Uh, I just realized the Vita does not automatically upload savegames, but I have to manually enable it for every single game instead. I opened the Content Manager, and sure enough, the Online Storage list was empty.

However, when I was playing Fez a few weeks ago, which supports cross-save, the savegame was actually synced between my Vita and my PS4. That's the only game I've played on both platforms so far, so that's why I was assuming that savegames would be automatically uploaded/downloaded on the Vita. But as I've written above: Auto-Upload was and still is disabled, so how's that possible?

PS+ upload save and cross save are two different things.

Well hello there NeoGAF; it's been a long time coming.

In case you don't know me, my name is Kyle Wakeling and I'm the Editor in Chief over at popular Vita site TheVitaLounge.net - writing news, reviews, and anything else I can think of that's Vita-related.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello now that my account has been approved. :)
