Pressing left trigger to aim down the sights of your gun, like in most shooters.
Halo relies too much on movement WHILE shooting accuratley to have classic ADS in the game.
I would welcome the normal Halo shooting mechanics with the zoom function being an AESTHETIC ads... But I would vastly prefer the smartlink scopes. Hell just make it an option if you prefer to have your screen obscured by a giant ass scope or have it smart linked like in previous Halos.
I have no problem with a Halo game having ADS similar to battlefield or COD or something but it should be a spinoff. Ie if ODST has ADS I wouldn't have cared. But mainline halo games that are trying to be similar to predesessors cant have it

Stuff we got in 4 is much better than the shit in Reach. Bungie made it up as they went, and that rarely results in good stuff. Now i don't agree with everything 343i makes (throwing Requiem to sun was really stupid) but i like it more than what Bungie did with 3 and Reach.

Yes, I do. I was one of the biggest Halo fans from 2002 to 2012. I played through the games multiple times and read all the books. I was a HUGE Halo universe nut. Everything 343 has done is terrible and they constantly shit on Halo's legacy with things like the Didact being as poorly written as a bad Bond villain and elites being brain dead and dying to one pistol shot even though they have energy shields. 343 has done NOTHING good with the Halo universe.

The pacing in Halo 4 wasn't fantastic. Some maps had too many similar sections one after another (the worst is probably that jungle mission). Overall it is pretty good, better than many games i've played, but it ain't fantastic. Of course, Bungie didn't really get it quite right ever either. EDIT also too few "breaks", sections where nothing really happens. Some maps good breaks but many didn't.

Already discussed. It looks like a red dot sight on a black BR85HBSR (as opposed to Halo 4's gray-with-yellow BR which had a boxy scope).
Probably just a visual change.

Plus even if the sex drive did die down with age... (Since we do know there is one Spartan who wanted to start a family),

Sadly I think I recognize those characters, though the name of the show eludes me. My mother watches those Indian dramas. Lipstick, was it? There are dozens of them, I don't know.

I look at it, and I see: fresh, new, rejuvenating.
That alone is exciting. But I am a long time Halo fan too. So I can see you're point where you're not.

Wish they had waited until E3 but maybe they wanted to save some time and just show a new trailer/gameplay instead of a full reveal? Pumped for E3 either way, just hope it's better than 4.
