Well said. It's that classic arena shooter dna. MS can keep trying and breaking these rules, and the franchise will keep bombing.Bungie and 343i deviated by breaking previously established rules.
adding armor abilities broke the equal starts.
Halo 4 broke EVERYTHING.
Halo 5 had the most awful clunky controls. broke omnidirectionality with sprint and clamber. broke lowering your weapon rule with sprint, clamber and Thrusters.
and it had ADS for no reason.
Infinite also violated the lowering weapons and omnidirectionality.
Halo feels unique and different due to the fact that your weapon is always ready and due to the fact that it's completely irrelevant where you look towards, you can still perform every jump, trick jump and evasive manoeuvres.
it makes the way you engage on combat completely different to other games, and it feels unique.
they literally never made a Halo game since 2007 that adhered to these rules set by the original trilogy
the idea that they need clamber and sprint when the biggest esports shooter on the planet plays almost exactly like it did in the 90s.
No guys. The problem with halo is that they are making mediocre games with no identity of its own.
