Sailor Moon anime series licensed by Viz (Sailor Stars finally coming West, new dub)

While teenaged me who was obsessed with all things Sailor Moon is jumping for joy inside, the rest of me feel kinda bummed out at the news of all new English dub. I glad the censorship is gone, but Im going miss the dubbed names and the music. I like Serena vs. Usagi, Darien to Mamoru. I prefer The Power of Love over Moon Revenge, Carry On over.
whatever they played in the Beryl fight at the end of the first season in the original Japanese.
In that perfect world that only exists in my head, wed be getting an enhanced version of the original English dub minus the censorship with all the names and music and songs included, plus the original, unedited Japanese dub for the purists.
I understand why thats a pipe dream that would never happen in million years but...

I think there will still be a market for them after this. If this thread is any indication, the original English Dub has some fans due to nostlagia. And if there is one thing nostalgic fans love to do, its throw money away on things they remember fondly from their childhood/adolescence.

I still like it. I enjoyed the originals too just about as much as the dub... for the most part. The cheesy BGM and pop songs from the dub will always stick with me!
You'll have to forgive me if I find giving the main charcater character an actual name instead of just capitalizing the Japaneses word for rabbit to be a superior choice.

I still think Minako and Rei's voices were probably the best ones in the dub, though. I'm so excited that I can finally own Sailor Stars, the specials AND episode 67! I don't care HOW bad the dinosaur ep was, I wants it!

I have a daughter, and she has proved to be a most effective smokescreen for things like this. Got me into Equestria Girls last year with nary an eyebrow raised and everything.
Unfortunately, she hates Sailor Moon.

If you got her into Equestria Girls, perhaps the trick is to have Tara Strong join the Sailor Moon cast. Use her MLP fame as a hook and maybe you'll rekindle some interest that way.

The English dub was fun and silly and was easy to watch.
The Japanese one takes itself way too seriously and the music is horrid. Be careful what you wish for...
