One thing Sony definitely needs to go at E3 is reestablish the momentum of its brand.
They've been far too reticent since the last E3.
They haven't really shows us much of anything really, since then. Save for a few new lower profile projects like Everybody's Going to the Repture, Shadow of the Beast, etc.
They need to show us a lot of high profile games and they need to reinvigorate the console with new announcements and deals. Whether a price drop of a game bundle, it needs something to make the platform more appealing going into the Holiday season.
We've seen how driven MS truly is these last few weeks. The question is: Where is Sony's fervor to win? They've been largely devoid of real passion since last E3.
Sony needs to prove to the gaming media that their WWS development is still strong. This was their greatest asset last generation. Thus far this generation, it has looked fairly meager.
