Anybody good with arcmap? I am trying to find shape files and data for population or elevation for an old Brydon of arcmap for my class, can anybody help me find the days? I tried a few sites but I get data or shape not both. Teacher really hasn't told us how to get the information.
 
So I am at a friend's Facebook home page, on the side where there are thumbnails of his friends,

I see a close up portrait of what clearly seems to be someone in "Black face".

Just out of curiosity, I click on the thumbnail, and at a closer look (larger image)

It is in fact a white dude... in black face, but dressed up as Dave Chappelle's -Tyrone Biggums for ( I am guessing) Halloween.

I was somewhat relieved that it wasn't just "black face" for the sake of it...it was rather a fictional, comedic character from a show... But still.... this left me confused about how I feel about this person's choice of Halloween costume... I still feel a lil' uncomfortable about it to tell you the truth.

I am curious what's GAF stance would be on such a thing. What say you GAF?
 
What is the point of making chocolate bars that are hard enough that you feel like they will break your damn teeth? I can't enjoy it because it's so damn hard that it feels like they were made for T-rexs.
 
What's the name of that Mother/Earthbound (I think) enemy who looks like a yellow gumby? He's on the floor lookin weak.

Not that particular brand, but yes vacuum seal storage bags do work. They shrink down things like duvets and pillows ALOT. Over months or years I've found that the seal can fail/there is a tiny tiny hole in the seal, and this will allow it to re-inflate a bit. The only problem this has is getting them out of storage can be a bit of a fight as they fill up the space.
 
I'm gonna be away the beach for a week with iPod Nano and an iPad but no computer/itunes. I want to use my Nano for walks/jogs and I pretty much exclusively use it to listen to podcasts but I'm not sure how to keep it updated with new podcast episodes without a computer. Is there a way I can do that with the iPad?

Anyone else, particularly in Florida, having difficulty connecting to gps using the Runkeeper app for either iOS or Android?

I haven't been able to connect at all today and that sucks.
 
Why do British not pluralize sports? IE you go to BBC and one of the categories is sport, even though within the Sport category is the coverage for many different sports.

Well sports is a plural is in Britain, such as 'Sports Day' in schools.

I think it comes down to 'sport' meaning all sports, and 'sports' means only some sports.

This is just my best guess, I can't really explain it, it just feels natural for sport to mean all sports, depending on the context.

Examples:
I love sport (This is all activities considered a sport, like liking all games, though sport generally means physical competitive activities.)
Football is a sport.
We play lots of sports at school. (Some but not all sports)

There are quite a few words that are both plural and singular. You have a sheep or lots of sheep, not 'sheeps'.

When we see 'sport' as a title, as on BBC, the context of it being a news site, tells us that it is talking about all sports not just a sport.

Just one of the particularities of the English language.

Real black face, with tar black skin and red lips, or just makeup to look like a black person? They're not exactly the same thing.
 
How do i stop Youtube videos from taking up the whole screen on Firefox? I got no addons that are causing it and i even disabled them all to make sure. Internet Explorer runs them normally. It doesn't matter if i choose 144p or 1080p they take up the whole screen, furthermore there is no option to make play in Larger player mode, its like its permanently stuck. Is it a bug from Firefox 29.01 or something i have done?

No i am not zoomed in on my browser, no I'm not signed into Youtube.
 
New question - how comes when my bro sends me pics & vid via iPhone to my email I can see it on my PC but I can't see the files via iPad?

It's for late night guitar practice. I need one for amp and one for the background track. Two headphones would make that a bit cumbersome. Is it really that hard to do what I am asking?
 
What's the cheapest and easiest type of smartphone to purchase? Like, do I have to sign up for a $70+ a month contract or is there a way to make calls over wi-fi or something?

Grey means that there have been no new posts since the last time you looked at the thread or that a certain amount of time has passed since the last post (days).

Yellow means that there are new posts and if you click on the icon it will take you to the newest posts that you haven't read yet.

According to wikipedia "Australia Post prohibits the sending of coins or banknotes, for any country, in the post."
I would assume that includes post received from other countries. There doesn't seem to be any issue with money leaving the US in the post though.
 
Does anyone know of a brand of Pistachio ice cream that doesn't have nuts in it. To clarify, yes I'm aware its MADE from nuts, but every brand I can find has some dumb shit like chopped up almonds in it. I just want plain ass pistachio ice cream.

I've only seen that at ice cream shops, locals ones that usually also sell donuts. You could go in and ask what brand they buy, and then contact their distributor or the manufacturer and find out if they have it packaged for consumer sales. But I think that's more work than you want to do coming into this thread.
